Well no need imho, we already tried all that software in the past (for free) and most probably we have the majority of them already installed on our system, so what demo you need ? ..
Simple... New programs. There is no way I can afford to buy software unless it's something really useful. I will certainly want to try before I buy. Even a £1 program means I go without breakfast or lunch to be able to afford to buy it.
Not everyone here is rich enough to be able to buy software on a whim.

Seems a little odd to charge for some of those, which (at least from the name) sound like small utilities (e.g. the dockies). I'd have thought it only makes sense to sell non-small programs on Amistore.
Well, every developer is allowed to do whatever they like with their programs. I guess a lot of developers will try a lot of different things with Amistore: Some will be a success, and some (most probably many) won't. Only with experiments will Amistore find out what users are prepared to pay for (and at what price).
EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not criticising (as such), just expressing my surprise (I'm not sure how successful it will be, but the only way to know for sure is to try).
Me too:) I'm guessing future updates will go through AmiStore now, and not AmiUpdate? And, when purchases apps, do they auto-install or install by user options right after i bought it?

I'm also with this one. Right now I'm contributing with localization, but a small fee for some useful programs it's ok by me. Even a silly amount helps and motivates the developer further I guess.

Why not re-upload the "old" versions of your tools to OS4Depot.net with a reminder that new and updated versions can be purchased at AMiStore.net (once it has been published)t?
That way you could show your work to new AmigaOS4.1 users (there will be some, maybe even many, once the FE and CR gets on the road).
I'm with Elwood and Severin here...i do know your work (did betatest and bughunting on some) and use some of it daily already, but i wouldn't put money up to programs i never used before (and can only read about in the description) and maybe pay for them and uninstall them right away.
Test versions (even if old and outdated) are a must imho
That doesn't mean i won't get the package (if it has some essential new stuff/bugfixes, that is)
I still spent a lot of time on my X1000 to code/maintain my own programs and/or test stuffs from others Amigans, I will not have time to maintain 2 sets of programs.
"if it has some essential new stuff/bugfixes, that is"
we speak about a package of 2 years of work that will cost only few coins. Sure there will not be essential new stuffs, it's just to see if guys that used these programs since many months think that it deserves some few €. Nothing more.
Now it will cost only very little few coins. It's free to anybody to decide if it deserves or not a money support.
