I`m running v1.37 and using AllKeys v2.40 works ok now, but it feels slow/unresponsive: there is a little lag when I press volume up/down and the respective graphic volume bar update.
As it has been said now pretty often, which you'd know if you'd use the search button, the onboard chip does not feature mixer abilities in it's hardware and as such cannot be supported by mixer.
Same as with other newer cards, i.e. Juli@ (even though the card has an Envy24HT chip)

If not, could it be excluded from offered AmigaUpdates for X1000 users?
Well, Mixer supports some PCI soundcards (SBLive, Envy24ht,..) and X1000 has PCI slots, so maybe someone "likes" such soundcards And if you don't want that Mixer shows on your AmiUpdate list, just add it to the 'Manage Ignores...' list.
Does V1.36 lag? Or just is the newer V1.37. I just added one "little" check (to mute off if volume at bottom of slider). Well and removing timer.device's functions and using newlib (internal) "timer" functions.
Do you use POPWINDOWDELAY=<value> tooltype? It's the time it displays de window/fader, but only if using on an ARexx script. Is such lag when using with/"under" AllKeys v2.40? If you don't run AllKeys, Mixer doesn't lag?
If you want I can send you a v1.38beta (no big changes, only bugs fixed) My e-mail: jabierdlrATgmail.com

Yep - like me. I use a PCI sound card (currently a Revolution 5.1) in my X1000 as well as the HD audio, depending on what I want to do.
In general, software updates should always be offered through AmiUpdate for all platforms where they can be used. E.g. the HD audio driver should of course only be offered for the X1000 (currently), but the sii3114ide driver should be offered for all platforms where such a card could physically be mounted, i.e. machines supporting PCI or PCIe 1x (as I believe those are the interfaces with which such cards exist), even if most people will never need such a card on the X1000 or for that matter on the Sam440ep/flex.
I`m currently using v1.37. My TOOLTYPES were all bracketed, so POPWINDOWDELAY=25 helped a bit. The problem is that if i press VUP e.g. twice, fader pops up and moves a single step , then it lags as it has to wait (POPWINDOWDELAY), close fader and pop up again for the second step. I have the impression that v1.36 kept fader open (no extra drawings) and just moved the slide button according to the keys pressed (check yourself this out). I`d be happy to test your beta version (mail sent).
