FPS are slow like hell. I think 4-6 FPS on my peg2/1ghz. And CPU are 100% loaded. I think big problem there give for us our OpenGL realisation. Releasing of such slow game make no sense imho, so better to wait for x1000 and new 2d/3d drivers.

huh?... i thought plib was shitloads of work to port?
and doesn't tux racer need tcl?
maybe you'll be able to port penguin racer now as well then?
i got the impression it is less cpu hungry, but i might be wrong.

Some modification was done , yes, but nothing so heavy. But interl pw function not works at moment (what also not so hard to implement, there is only few). But i will do it if only some games which want plib, will want it (to make sense of that work)

You mean SuperTuxKart ? If yes, then nope, it not use TCL at all. Just few fixes in configure, then few fixes in code itself (not many, but some was annoing), and that all. Dunno still why it 100% of cpu loading , maybe i can somehow change that later..

Also, that version which i compile, its last stable one, but they (authors of STK), have make few more beta after that, where they remove PLIB at all because it ancient. Maybe the latest version can be faster a bit, need to check.

Cover looks very nice ! And x1000 requements looks pretty right too.

I can upload binary here (will do it in next 30 minuts), just for everyone in interest, but dunno should i upload that madness slownes on os4depot ?:)

I also for now do not know why it so slow: because of our opengl implementation, or because of 1ghz of cpu ?

ps. it also crashes on exit, but i just not fix that because when i see how slow it is, i not think that fixing of crash on exit make sense ..

Uploaded here: supertux_binary_0.6.2a.

You need to download datafile for game (i upload only binary, because data files are huge, about 100 mb packed). Here you can download any archive for any OS, and just extract Data directory somethere and put binary in the directoy where you will have that Data directory.

If you will setup WB to 16 bit, switch game to 640x480, turn off music/sound, then on more or less fast cpu (1ghz) it can be playable about 15 fps. But of course no fan, and un-enjoement.

Very possible , that it so slow because of software emulated functions of our opengl (transformation, clipping and lighting), and because of it it load cpu at 100% and slow. Faster CPU (1.8) should help here for sure (even with our current opengl realisation).

@SpotUP
Penguin Racer its the same as TuxRacer ? If yes, then it use TCL (not just for configure and creating of makefiles, but also in code itself, by these tcl functions like Tcl_AppendResult, Tcl_GetInt and so on). All in all maybe it possible to port TCL library ?

I like this game very much, good to see it available for AOS4.

When I played it in my Debian machine (AMD Turion X2 1.6, Radeon X1250. Not a beast but good enough for most stuff), sometimes it crawled after some minutes playing. Less than 10 FPS I think (800x600 fullscreen screenmode). Can't test it now because the version in Debian testing is not working.

Well, then everything correct. Its just want normal speed and normal opengl. Then lets wait for x1000, where many thinks will be clean :)
