On my X5000 timedemo gives 25fps. However, in game most of the time can be played at higher fps, as my recent video shows.

I will try tweak the confings on Sam and will let you know, like it works.

Please, is all configs controlled via Doom3-configs/Base drawer like in first versions, or Doom3-configs/Demo now works for demo?

I am trying to run Doom3 Beta1 on my X5000 and Sam460. However if behaves differently than PreRelease Beta5 that I tried as a beta-teser

After Doom3 logo and ID Software movie Game opens a blank black screen (I can move mouse)
If I switch to fullscreen, I can quit the game with CTRL+C

Edit: all other Warp3DNova e.t.c software works fine...

I noticed that no text are displayed in splash screen.
There are blue blank rectangles instead of text.

Game music plays and there is no crash..

I found the problem..I had a wip version of ogles2.library..
It seems this wip version is not compatible with DOOM3.

Beta1 is working again..

Hi, on my X1000 machine I downloaded the latest game and egl wrap.

No matter what I do I am seeing the same FPS rate. Fullscreen/Window, high settings/low settings, 800/600, 1920/1200; It does not matter if I even insert into "default.cfg" into the BASE dir:
seta r_speedHackShadow "0"

I have also tried "2.0" and always the same frame rate of 11FPS.

On previous versions with renderer ARB2 there was normal that screen resolution has no influence to FPS.
I am not tested ARB2 with last version, only GLSL and there is difference in FPS, but not big. ( +2 FPS: 1920x1080->800x600 )

And regarding the configuration:
With some of old versions ( sorry, I an not know which version exactly ) .cfg in /base directory works also for timedemo, and .cfg from /demo was ignored.

And allways is better not to change default.cfg, but add new file autoexec.cfg to the same directory.
And in autoexec.cfg put only lines with changes, for example only line: seta r_renderer "GLSL"

So? command can go either in the:
- autoexec.cfg
- default.cfg
- in the command window at runtime when you press the ` key (probably not a good idea, or not possible: changing renderer at runtime for example)

Well there is some improvement. BTW, I am really using these demos to try and find out where the bottleneck in my system is. Either this is normal, or I have some bad hardware or something is badly configured. It is nothing to do with criticising the game!

Seems to be way off the mark.

On my X5000 the demo is 25 fps, 1920,1200 GLSL. Very playable, though I do notice that Betruger is completely black as well as a few other things.
