Thank you! I've ordered the monitor now.

I'll let you guys know how I get on. I've seen non native resolutions on my dads 24" and its pretty acceptable. And I'm willing to try my VGA header again. And I have a PC next to this machine that could do with a big monitor too. So it's not the end of the world if this experiment fails. :)

Nice monitor. Isn't the sam slow on that res? I can't get 1920x1200 working correct on my sam. When i do test on the monitor it's like looking at a tv channel with much snow on. Not sure why,all other resolutions elow works fine. Think i'm running 1280x1024 now. Ok to look at i think.

Yep! what really eats MY video ram (I think) is having many many tabs open in CubicIDE.. but you can disable compositing on individual screens. So I just keep it for my main screens where I want effects.

Atleast a 16xx X 10xx should work, I tried that on my philips 24" widescreen. But 1920x1200 won't work properly, but i run 1280x1024. 64mb ram is far too low i think if you open alot of windows and run many programs. Thats why i plan on getting a flex in the future. Size does matter
