I've examined the Enhancer files and seen evidence of an install script that modified the Kicklayout in place and inserted the RadeonHD driver in there. What I wonder is why this isn't used? The problem with AmigaOS is that it relies on all these files with no built in managers. They started moving from static files to dynamic drawers in OSS2. But they didn't finish. And the Kicklayout reverts to the old way. It may be a simple file but it is the most important core system file so really needs CLI tools to manage it in the least.

What model 7850? Not much info. On Hans site one listed as working and the other as failed.

http://hdrlab.org.nz/projects/amiga-o ... r-hardware-compatibility/

Unfortunately you need to hook up a serial terminal and be a tech head to see what is really going on. As despite the video card technically being able to open a screen or text without any Radeon driver AmigaOS 4 isn't designed to display emergency errors and catastrophic fails. And even then, it tends to be some incompatibility, usually software driver.

So just to check. Any power input the 7850 needs is connected to card. Riser card is connected to power. I've heard only one power input can be connected to a riser at once. 7850 is slotted into riser, riser is connected to PCIe bridge with USB cable, PCIe bridge in PCI slot. You're good to go. If you see UBoot something else is amiss.

IIRC the SLB(_v2) file system API was very simple. It can load files, but that's it. No directory reading, or any other file system functions.
I don't know how the newer amigaboot.ub used on the X5000 and A1222 works, someone else ported my SLB_v2 SFS code to it.

Thanks! I actually found the first article, but I didn't read it carefully enough.

Radeon HD card is R7850 Twin Frozr 2G5D/OC. Checking serial output is not a problem, but could it actually help and make card working?

Monday I'll get Radeon HD 7770 card. It is Club 3D Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition.

Here https://youtu.be/OV70Kg6jDBc

Graphics card and PCIe adapter got bot their own 6 pin power connector connected.

I made a short video with two different PCI2PCIe adapters and Radeon HD4800.

https://youtu.be/VqkGFlqje6o

[EDIT] Sorry wrong video, correct video replaced.

Sorry bad quality,

with

First adapter read is 21mb/s and write 15mb/s
second adapter read is 28mb/s and write 39mb/s

Second adapter (or adapters) is ones found here

https://www-amigaportal-cz.translate.g ... x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp

My actual PCIe 16x adapter is little diffent could it matter?

About a Radon HD 7850, I think it crash fatally, caps lock light doesn't work after screen gets dark.

Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. I'd try to get one of the gfx cards tested successfully already.
Check
https://ftp.hdrlab.org.nz/benchmark/gf ... aOS/Motherboard/Sam440EP/
(several Radeon HD 7700 results, not sure if any of them is a 7770)
https://hdrlab.org.nz/projects/amiga-o ... r-hardware-compatibility/
(HIS Radeon HD 7770 working, but Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 not) and
https://www-amigaportal-cz.translate.g ... x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp
(no 7770 card tested, but 7750, 7970 and R9 270x working)

According to https://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=RadeonHD for Radeon 4000, 5000 and 6000 series cards only 2D is supported, but not HW accelerated 3D (Warp3D Nova, GL4ES, etc.).
At least if you want to play 3D games, or use any other 3D software, better get one of the Radeon cards with 3D support: Radeon HD 77xx-79xx series graphics card (excluding the Radeon HD 7790), Radeon HD R7 or Radeon HD R9.

3 results for Radeon HD 7800 cards are on https://ftp.hdrlab.org.nz/benchmark/gf ... aOS/Motherboard/Sam440EP/ but I didn't check if any of them is a 7850.

I know that Radeon HD 4800 does not have a 3D drivers.

Point was a two different PCI to PCIe bridges and speed difference between them.

I buy these cards as a secondhand from Finland, so I buy what is available. It is little limited as there are only 5 000 000 million people here.

Club 3D Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition CGAX-7772C does work.

Now I need to test it. I do have a Enhancer Plus for OS4 installed, but none of old games used to work Radeon 9250 does not work.

I renanamed MiniGL.library as I thought it might be a problem and it doesn't work Radeon HD 7770 any way, but that didn't fix problem.

What else I need to install / delete to make Enhancer Plus 3D drivers to work? I ques I need to download correct versions of games, to make them support:

Open GL ES 2.0 v1.12
Warp3D Nova v1.34

https://www.amiga-shop.net/en/Amiga-So ... for-AmigaOS-4-1::765.html

What would be good way to test performance?

Nova Bridge is Warp3D support for a Radeon HD cards? It would make all old games work.

But before I buy it, I would like to test this more. I need games that support Warp3D Nova if I have figured it correctly?

Steps to Required to make Radeon HD 7XXX work.

1. Update UBoot. UBoot 1.3.1g 04-Dec-2020 updater.
2. Get transparent PCI-PCIe bridge, with a P17C9X chip. It supports 66mhz bus.
3. Get PCIe x1 - PCIe x16 riser adapter.
4. Get compatible Radeon HD card.
5. Get A-EON's Enhancer Software 2.2 and install it.
6. Add text MODULE Kickstart/RadeonHD.chip to SYS:Kickstart/kicklayout file, just after MODULE Kickstrat/PCIGraphics.card.
7. Install Hardware, it just should work now.

NOTE. Brige card with PEX 8111 chip worked without a problems. It said it shouldn't work with Flex. https://youtu.be/VqkGFlqje6o
