@Lio I do it some time ago, but by some reassons fade in/out of the first main image was not working (dunno if it related to our SDL, or just authors make it like this now). Need to try again.

Hey who resurrected the 'I wish I could port it, but can't(!) am waiting for gallium!' thread? Always a good read, but often the same reply from kas1e (with good reason), how very frustrating for everyone.

I have compiled Flare (own Makefile), but the sound is corrupted. Footsteps never play correctly for example.

@Thematic Sound corrupted because of AUDIO_S16 flag passed to mixer. You need to found that line in source code, and replace it on the AUDIO_S16MSB (and just check at AUDIO_ at all , to be sure that there is not other like AUDIO_S8, etc).

Build the latest version today, but something going wrong: its very slow on running stage (black window for the 30-40 seconds i think), and only after that long waiting for dunno what, everything appears.
I also download version from os4depot, and try it with my datafiles, and have the same problem: 30-40 seconds of black window until game starts.
So, can you please check os4depot version (fheroes2.lha), and check if it will runs for you fine, without long waiting ? I remember that for me it was "ok" some time ago. Dunno maybe i fucked up something in the system, or maybe some library, or maybe my data-files just suck :)
Check it plz if you have time.
@Thematic
Cool :) One more fresh port
@samo79
How fast Flare port works ? Fine enough ?

Ok i test it more deeply, for example setting the game in fullscreen and honestly the speed isn't so good anymore even reducing resolution at 640*480
Also i get a skippable DSI when game start (only in fullscreen mode), not so problematic but still ..

I didn't notice at first the unsuitable SDL drawmode HWSURFACE, maybe changing it to SWSURFACE gets rid of the GR (got it here as well). - Well that didn't make one bit of difference, so no reupload just yet.

@Thematic Just to be sure : did you use very latest SDL from the code-google page ? (not latest publicy released, but latest from SDL page, where new fixes was done, etc). I mean not latest archive from sdl-page, but just need to build SDL yourself, from latest code. Because if not, you need to use that version for sure (and maybe then problems with HWSURFACE will not present).

@all Btw, just some interesting news related to Epiar game : i have contacted with FBY (amiga musican from the very old times), who help us with his professional music for the our diskmags (TheVague) and for some amigaos4 port with his eclusive music for os4 version only (game called Traktor and can be found on os4depot) , and he also will make for us music for Epiar game. So, in end, Epiar port tranforms to: full support of big-endian machines, amigaos4 support and some bugfixes related to it, as well as support by amiga musican for the all the versions. So, game can't be called "just a port" for now anymore :)
