Please do not download the most recent "Mac-Like Dock" (version 2.0 or 2.1). I fixed one problem, and uploaded a new version, but I just noticed some other problems.
I will try to have a new version (2.2) available soon. Until then, don't bother downloading what is currently available on OS4 Depot.
Thanks for posting the updates (and sorry for not catching all of the bugs in one go).
2.3 should really be downloaded by everyone interested in using Mac-Like Dock (it includes fixes for some serious bugs that revealed themselves in certain instances).
Great program! Is there any way to change the hot sopts where the cursor makes the dock pop up with finer resolution thatn left, right, top and bottom? I would like to set a hot spot about 100 pixels from the bottom right corner of the screen.
I assume that you would like the hot-spot to be more than just one pixel in width and height. The way that I would probably implement your request would be to allow the user to set parameters for X and Y (being the upper left corner of the hot-spot) and also the desired width and height for the hot-spot.
Thanks for the encouragement (and beta-testing). Now I just need some more ideas for enhancement. It should not be difficult to add Scott's suggestion; but it would be nice if I could wrap up a few other enhancements into the next upload.

Would this suit your needs?
this would be a nice feture, because the four corners generally are for other use, for example on the top-right we have the screen gadget etc. so another position it's of better use.
Maybe it would be better to have a position relative to top-left, top-rigth etc. this way changing the screen resolution doesnt have side effects.
I just noticed some problems in the archive of Mac-Like Dock 2.4. Anyway, there is now a new version (2.5) available on OS4 Depot. If you downloaded version 2.4 already, please discard it and replace it with the new one. Thanks.
For any new programs that you want to launch, just drop the icon that you want to use into the Images/Normal drawer in whatever hot-zone you want it to be used in. The new image should be displayed automatically the next time the Mac-Like Dock for that hot-zone appears. Left-clicking the new icon will give you the option of selecting whatever file you want to be launched. If you later decide that you want the same icon to launch a different program, click the image with the RIGHT mouse button.
Let me know if any of this was unclear, or if I misunderstood what you were asking about.
Strangely, I'm having problems getting version 2.5 to work. I've set it up to use the custom hotzones but I can't get the sub-dock I have defined to come up, even though I've tried making the hotzone rather large (200 x 200). I am assuming that the startX and startY positions are relative to the top left corner of the screen?
What you assumed about the start X and Y positions is correct.
Are you certain that you are actually "starting" your custom hot-zone? This can be done by double-clicking the "StartMLDHotZone" icon in the "Custom_HotZone" drawer. You can also add (or modify) a line in the included "WBStartUp_MLD_HZ" booting script (using a text editor) if you want your custom hot-zone to be activated at the time of startup.
Also note that the "Hot Zone Delay" option in the "HotZonePreferences" sets how long the mouse must remain motionless in the hot-zone before the Mac-Like Dock is launched.
Ok, last night i tried it out. HotZone burped -- no alpha channel on the icon. FxPaint fixed that quick. Gack, my icon is too big! What size do you set them to? Anyway, interesting dock!
Since I can't find the hotspot anywhere on the screen, nothing comes up so I don't know if it works at all. However, if I simply double click the MacLickdoc icon in the root directory, I get my dock icons appearing correctly. I will try re-installing it from scratch and see if I might have mixed some files between old and new versions.
