SOLVED: Discreet FX gone, presumed closed for good? (apparently not!)

I was browing some old bookmarks, and realised that Discreet FX's website is no-longer operational:
http://www.discreetfx.com

Which reminded me I hadn't heard of any of their silly sales news from them in a long time.

(Also their Project Metropolis seems to be dead too.)

Anyone know if/when they packed-up for good?

@328gts

The last I heard from Discreet FX was when they sold the Aladdin 4D rights, source code, etc. to A-Eon.

Discreet FX had been working on a few indi films such as Oil Change. I don't know if they finished.

Sold the SAM460ex lite... waiting for money for X5000 or A1222 and OS 4.2

Just a minor issue with the hosting company we use. It should be resolved shortly. If the original poster had been truly interested he could have just sent us an e-mail or PM.

I'm happy to hear you are still around.

I'm sorry if my post offended you... but I can assure you my question was entirely straight forward & honest. No hidden subtext or malicious intent.

If you really want justification: Since I chose to visit your website(s) entirely at random, it seemed very unlikely that I'd visit when it just happened to be down for a short while. Since it's sadly not uncommon for Amiga companies to disappear, it doesn't seem unreasonable to jump to the conclusion that you'd probably disappeared... and then ask on the forums about this (with the small chance I'd be told I was mistaken). Emailing someone to ask when they closed their business seems a bit... nasty to me, so I still think I made the right choice to ask on the forums.
