guys was chatting with the developer and shockingly only 2 americans and one canadian have registered for this NG Lotus style game
The game is in constantly updated and if you like the oriignal Lotus series of games then I guarantee you'll love this game on your NG Amiga or Linux!
download it at AmigaTec's homepage and if you like it consider making a doantion to get your custom key that will let you create your own tracks so people all over the world can play them! Also in the works is the ability tom play online with other users which is uber cool
Update: - there are many many registered users from all over the world with the exception of US & Canada so that's why I'm pushing for users on the other side of the pond
- AmigaRacer is available on AmigaOS4.1, MorphOS, Windows, Linux & Raspberry Pi
@328gts I've been downloading it, but hadn't gotten around to trying it until now... Seems like a really good Lotus clone (one of my favourite games), so will likely donate at some point.
If anyone has any suggestions for the game please email the developer (Mike) at the link in the 1st post. He's a very nice guy to talk to and I'm sure he'll appreciate your suggestions
"Amiga Racer Version 2.9c is available for download/update. This version includes a lot of bugfixes, also the problem that some machines with AmigaOS4 could not reach the first checkpoint when using ARCS has been addressed."
Also, AmigaTec / Amiga Racer will be present at the GamesCom 2016 in Cologne. We will have our own Amiga Booth there and showing Amiga Racer on several systems including the Amiga Racer Arcade machine. There will be also news about the new 68k game that gets developed besides Amiga Racer. Of course we will take pictures and videos from that event and we will share it with people that have supported us with donations so far! "
this is another major update that addresses many user feedback. Finally we have now (as from many users wished) a proper lotus turbo challenge start! Exactly as in Lotus you're driving against 20 opponent cars now. The race start is now completely different.
@328gts I showed AmigaRacer at my local Amiga club (ANT), and someone said the turning of the car looked unnatural/floaty, because when you steer the car it looked like the it was rotating in the middle of the car (IIRC).
I don't know what other people think, but it could be worth the developer try having the 'rear' of the car staying in a fixed position when you steer, so that only the front of the car moves, and see if that looks better or worse. I'm not sure how Lotus did it.

well with all the updates coming along hopefully your suggestion gets looked at by the developer. Maybe a good idea to send an email or start a thread on the Amiga racer forum?
Right now I'm just grooving to the new startup song
I'm currently saving all the pennies for a Holiday, but come next payday, I will get this for sure, Chris H let me have a go at the Demo version a couple of ANT meetings back. I liked it a lot, reminds me of some other game ;)
