Hi ChrisH,

Yes, Amiga specific and voice only of course.

Free long distance voice calls on AMIGA isn't interesting to you?

Support Amiga Fantasy cases!!!
How to program: 1. Start with lots and lots of 0's. 10. Add 1's, liberally.

VOIP between two Amigas doesn't seem terribly useful to me... I mean, what are the chances that the other person you want to VOIP with has an Amiga?!?

Hey guys,

There was "AmiPhone" peer-to-peer chat client that used to work on the
old 68K Amigas. IIRC, it struggled with the scant CPU power and network
speeds of the day, but used AHI.

Maybe some motivated, enthuisiastic soul that really wants an Amiga to
Amiga solution could update it for the new Amigas? Atheist??

;D

For a more useful cross platorm, maybe one of the loonix VoIP clients
could be ported that uses an open VoIP service? Can't say I know that
much about those services except that they exist and are supposed to be
interoperable.

Maybe there's a Qt client that might be portable enough? Obviously, it
would take hacking in AHI support, etc.

Hi ChrisH,

I'm really concerned about AMIGA, and pretty much despise all other so called "OS"'s (a non-exhaustive list, win-dos (ANY version), os(u)x, isos, linux, andruid). In fact, I'd like to see an "AMIGAFIED" section of the internet made. All that is on the internet is just files. So, there's no reason that all text and sound and image and video files that people (Amigans) make couldn't be stored in Amiga's formats on their websites, and an AMIGA web browser that doesn't really concern itself with the other stuff that's out there, and not worried about how it's displayed. An Amiga only web browser is what I would like to see. Although, it should be easy to have text only of the other websites out there in that browser.

My idea is for AOS 1.x to 3.x and AOS4.x.

A version COULD be made to use on win-dos (and others) though. It really wouldn't be too hard after the initial code is made for Amiga.

Hi pjs,

I'm an "ideas" guy. I can't code this, although, some of it I could do if I had AMOS Pro up and running. There is a part I'm not sure how to do, or if it's possible at all to do with AMOS, but the bulk of it could be done in AMOS.

what about using an harddisk recorder and then stream it, just send the ip of the device to the other machine mplayer or winamp. i think some nas servers can do the same thing.. simply connect an ip camrea to the harddisk recorder and then run a live stream over ip..
