I have built quite a lot of projects with the current cmake (including big and complex ones like musescore), so it definately works. Somehow, strangely, most users fail to do the configuring correctly. It often comes down to the fact, that it doesn't find the cmake: assign, which will give errors like the ones posted in this thread, ie. "Failed to find /CMake/Modules" or whatever it says.

I am quite unsure, whether this is due to some malfunction in peoples brains, or if I myself has done something to elicit these complications. I am not sure, if I am in the right frame of mind to try and mangle with it right this moment, but perhaps in a week or two, if enough user demand materialises.

I definitely have the cmake assign, and it starts up starts doing various things and then fails when testing that gcc builds a binary.

Ok, so that's a different issue. It should work, at least it does for me, but maybe something changed with the new SDK? It could also be a problem with the PATH variable. Or some other setting causing it to not find gcc.

Here's a part of the snoopy output:

00067 : cmake : o.k. = ExamineFH("CMakeCache.txt") [38uS]
00068 : cmake : o.k. = Lock("AmigaOS:cmake/bin",SHARED) [220uS]

00072 : cmake : o.k. = ExamineObject(0x5C661BC8) [154uS]
00073 : cmake : FAIL = Lock("AmigaOS:cmake/bin/ccmake",SHARED) [167uS]
00074 : cmake : FAIL = Lock("AmigaOS:cmake/bin/cmake-gui",SHARED) [159uS]
00075 : cmake : o.k. = Lock("AmigaOS:cmake/bin/ctest",SHARED) [6483uS]
00076 : cmake : o.k. = ExamineObject(0x5C661BC8) [124uS]
00077 : cmake : o.k. = Lock("AmigaOS:cmake/bin/cpack",SHARED) [433uS]

00079 : cmake : o.k. = Lock("AmigaOS:cmake/bin/cmake",SHARED) [254uS]
00080 : cmake : o.k. = Lock("AmigaOS:cmake/bin/cmake",SHARED) [259uS]

The two fail lines refer to files that are not present in the cmake/bin directory: ccmake and cmake-gui.

I'm not sure, btw, that this is the problem.
