Launch Odyssey on a local html file
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

See User information
It is possible to launch Odyssey from shell on a http URL
such as
> APPDIR:Odyssey htttp:someplace/mypreferredpage.html
or
>RUN "APPDIR:Odyssey htttp:mypreferredpage.html"
this is not pôssible for a local file
> APPDIR:Odyssey file://Myfullpath/mypreferredpage.html

It would be nice if this was possible, could this be taken up?

Assuming you have SYS:Prefs/URL prefs properly set in the FILE tab, this works:
URLOpen PROTOCOL FILE "ram:mydir/somepage.html"

The advantage of using URLOpen is that it will still work if you switch browsers in the URLOpen prefs.

If you really want to call Odyssey directly try:
APPDIR:Odyssey "file:///Myfullpath/mypreferredpage.html"

Notice that my command has 3 slashes (///) after "file:" instead of two slashes like your command. Also your http protocols in your post have 3 t's instead of just two. Should be http: and not htttp:

the following works fine for me:

appdir:Odyssey file://localhost/Projects:MultiViewer ... k/distro/MultiViewer.html

Note the localhost part, you may leave that out and just do

appdir:Odyssey file:///Projects:MultiViewer/trunk/distro/MultiViewer.html

unfirtunatly odyssey breaks with amigaos convention and doing

appdir:odyssey ? to help / the command template doesn't work.
