It's not so much how it looks, but when I click the link to download, it just asks if it should overwrite a 0 byte file (which isn't actually there), and then nothing happens.

Best regards,

Niels

If i click on the linked file it tries to open a popup window which linked destination is blocked by my hosts file (and as such i get an error message from Odyssey that it cannot connect to server), clicking the upcoming error message away lets me instantly download the file.

No such thing as a 0 byte file, but of course, this can also be a spam download in the background, or an automated binary execution (if you were on a pc)

Don't seem like the perfect solution for most of the Amiga users then.

But i also don't think there are still many "free" file hosters out there...

I'll just wait until it is on OS4Depot or something - don't really have time (or opportunity) for testing it properly anyway ATM.

It was named "db101", so I expect it was the correct file it tried to serve me.

A pc! Perish the thought

No, Odyssey on X1000, OS4.1FE Update 1.

That's perfectly all right, Niels :). I'll do a proper update, once I have a little more meat to present.

Would you like to reconsider your assertion?

Nope, nothing found in ram

Of yourse, if i execute that line it will be

edit: What i meant was that there is no 0 byte file created here when i download the db101 file.

It does, mind you, try to open a site which is blocked and which might be downloading or creating thus file *if* it were to load, haven't tried that

Maybe I'm mssing the obvious, but is there a start from Workbench option?

A crash I wanted to investigate only occurs in code executed when started from WorkBench and so doesn't occur when s started from DB101
