Hi Guys and Happy New Year!

Since the old Benchmarks time topic(http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/v ... hp?topic_id=30008&forum=2) becomes a bit messy and want to try to update benchs and various tests I'll start a new topic where try to do things in a better way...

Hope also to make things ordered to have a better comparison against various systems...

I dont found all the tests for all the systems however that can be a good comparison for all Amiga-òlike systems(included WinUAE, WinUAE_PPC and also Vampire)

Lets start...

For guys interested, download:

http://aminet.net/util/moni/afinch.lha ---> integer CPU benchmark interesting to test in all systems

http://aminet.net/util/moni/aflops.lha ---> float CPU benchmark interesting to test in all systems

http://os4depot.net/share/audio/record/lame.lha ---> lame OS4 version(NOTE: in the archive there was a version for non altivec cpu based on newev 3.100 and an AltiVec version based on 3.98.2, dunno if there was speed differences)

http://morphos-files.net/download/LAME ---> lame MOS version as above version number not same, dunno if there was speed differences

http://aminet.net/mus/misc/lameAros-3.100.lha ---> lame 3.100 AROS

http://aminet.net/mus/misc/lameA68K-3.100.lha ---> lame 3.100 68k

http://os4depot.net/share/video/play/mplayer-mickjt.lha ---> mplayer from MickJT AmigaOS4

http://os4depot.net/share/video/play/muimplayer.lha ---> mui mplayer port from kas1e

http://morphos-files.net/remote/MPlayer ---> mplayer MorphOS

http://archives.aros-exec.org/share/v ... ayer-1.0-v4.i386-aros.zip ---> mplayer AROS

http://aminet.net/demo/misc/BoingCube.lha ---> OS4(and maybe MOS with os4emu?) test for gfx and cpu

http://os4depot.net/share/utility/benchmark/gpmark.lha ---> OS4 GPmark test

http://aminet.net/gfx/3d/GPmark.lha ---> - For GPMark MorphOS I found only the sources...if anyone can compile/provide an archive was nice

http://archives.aros-exec.org/share/u ... mark/gpmark-i386-aros.zip ---> AROS GPMark test

NOTES

- for the lame test starting from the mp3 file use the above command to obtain the wav file to encode:

lame --decode don't_break_my_hearth.wav by typing into shell: lame --decode don't_break_my_hearth.mp3

than use:

lame don't_break_my_hearth.wav

to perform the test

- for mplayer test use:

mplayerYOURCPUVERSION -nosound -vo null -benchmark Fashion_DivX720p_ASP.divx

to perform the test

- to rum Afinch and AFlops 68k on OS4 plz download ixemul from os4depot:

http://os4depot.net/share/development/library/ixemul_bin.tar.bz2

and skip the etc: volume request

Have you run the tests at clean start(i.e. without anything other loaded?)

I updated the main topic on AW, but still waiting for your benchmarks on celan start to update completely.
The main "propbem" seems with ORG-NG/RC5-72 that was really slow...
Dunno if was normal for PA6T or not...however on my Peg2 was faster...
