If you have manually updated to 2.44, then self-update won't be available, you have the latest version.

I have released 2.45 which should fix the outstanding problems. As a side note, it updated just fine here on my test machine, even connecting to "www.amiupdate.net", go figure...

Yeah, well, AmiUpdate.net is down, so much for testing or updating

Are you going to fix some of the outstanding issues in your database too?

I just tested and it still doesn't find any self updates.
I have four servers in the list
www.amiupdate.net
update.amigaos.net
www.amiupdate.net/SdkServer
amiupdate.codebench.uk

AU is set to check for an update on start...

While the redirection problems exist with amiupdate.net, you might as well turn off the self-update until you get 2.45 installed.

As for why it doesn't find an update to itself in the main list, I cannot say.It worked fine here on my test machine. Try enabling a VERBOSE log, then check in RAM: and see what it says about the AmiUpdate update.

Database entries should be reported to their maintainers. I'm certainly not going to go through every entry and test it to find out what is wrong.

Hi, thanks to the update was made directly to version 2.45 without problems.
I just wanted to ask, I usually find NetSurf not updated, because I always use the latest beta.
Now he only gave me "german.catalog" to update.

With "database" i meant your bug database not the programs database.

There are some long standing bugs inside

The database has been changed now, so the update should appear in the main list now.

As regards to "long-standing" bugs, I did notice a couple that flagged up, and I have fixed for the next release.

Do not work here, i have 2.43 installed on my system and i can't see any updates. ... not programs nor the new AmiUpdate release

Server looks so slow even accessing site directly, for example i can't download the changelog file with Odyssey

It didn't reboot after that and only after i did a manual reboot it showed up as v2.45

I had problems with 2.43 tto:
- instead of opening a window i got a rotating AU icon on my Amidock,turning
for ever

I must say when using AmiUpdate before that, i always had to use the "Workbench/Update Sotware" menu twice (never noticed a rotating icon, but then i may just have missed it.

I did download the 2.45 and installed it manually. Now the window opens after quiete some time but the www.amiupdate.net site seems to be down

Is this recentt?

It's already been discussed earlier (maybe in another thread?).

Change the server from "www.amiupdate.net" to "amiupdate.codebench.co.uk".
