Enhancer Bug thread

X-Dock uses ReAction classes which we have developed in the Enhancer Software.

Ok but if it so, why do i have a new asl file requester and if it crashes (grim reaper) it Is the muimaster.library?

Ok i figured out what Is going on on my amiga. I have two partitions. One with just Amiga os 4.1fe with enancher pack and mui R1 and another partition as the first partition but with mui R2 and with this I have different asl requester..

That mui ASL filerequester is MUI:PatchASL that maybe is loaded from yours S-S or U-S, comment it out to get the typical/non-MUI asl requester.

I reverted back to last year's release of MUI because none of the 2018 versions work for me. Can't remember why now, and I didn't get round to reporting it.

I do remember that old app Microdot-II didn't work, which is one of only two things I knowingly use MUI for.

I think the whole bugtracker is rather unintuitive.

First you have to select which part of Enhancer you want to report a bug to and then while you are in it there is another pull down menu with General (in my case)

Yes, i sucked with it few times too..

I can be wrong (checked from phone), but seems "category" misleading was fixed, and there now just a list of software and all fits in "general" now , but maybe it just from phone like this..

But for sure issues for xdock was reassigned to Andy, while your ones are still in wrong mpega type

No needs for bitching, as it just zzd10h reassigned issues to which i point, to which he have access to. Other ones can fix admin only (mattew?). And i was wring about categories : it still same misleading, once you choice to report issue you still have in categories general/uboot and alm that strange stuff which you have no needs to choice.

Mattew, can you fix all that plz ?

The odd catagory thing comes from the fact that the bugtracker was initially setup for tracking bugs in hardware as far as I can tell, so there were suitable global catagories etup to reflect that (General USB etc etc) . Unfortunatly these don't suit software products but by default they are inherited by any new product created.

If there are catagories available you must choose one. (the way mantis works, out of our control).

I've fixed it for some products but I don't personally have time to go through the whole database!

Not that the bugs will be fixed anytime "soon"...

Am I the only one having problems with updater? Updated to the latest Enhancer software package a while ago and every time I start Updater it displays empty "Privacy notice V1.2" window and system refuses to respond after that.

Also, noticed that every software included in the pack has the same problems displaying About window (when selected thru menus Project > About). Just empty window and system hangs after that.

At first I thought it´s caused by some missing class or gadget which are used in both windows, but after installing Enhancer files manually found out that it didn´t help either.

Any tips appreciated :)

This sounds like the lonstanding window.class bug in OS4.1 (nothing to do with the Enhancer Software). Our InfoWindow Class simply exposes this bug if you have certain GUI Preferences set. It has been fixed in beta if I recall.

As amigakit stated, it a window.class bug. If I remember correctly, the workaround is to open GUI pref and add a background image in "Gadgets/Background texture".
