Can't get files from tablet

I have a Galaxy Tab S2, and when I connect it to my X1000, I can only get to the pictures. Is there a way to browse the file like a thumb drive?

Sounds like your connecting via pictbridge instead of MassStorage, there might be something in settings to fix that.

Another option is to install ftp server pro from the olive tree software, easy to find on play store and then use any amiga ftp client or browser to acess the tablet, works great with DOpus5.

The best way I've found for accessing my droid devices
(aside from pulling the MicroSD card) has been to run an
FTP server on the device.

With that, you can simply connect with AmiFTP or pFTP and
move files back and forth straightforwardly over your wifi
network.

The most recent FTP server for droid I found was called
"FTP Server (Free)" on the open source marketplace
"F-Droid":

If you connect your mobile to any computer with a data cable, not just a recharge USB cable, it will show you a message at the mobile about the mode you want it to be. There is a selection to use it as a mass storage. If the USB cable is only for recharging, no selection appears at the mobile.

So, check first your cable if you are not able to get it to mass storage.

The cable I use to get to a Windows or Linux box works and lets me access the files. Am trying the FTP, and that seems to be working.
