Error update1 Sam460ex final edition 4.1

Hi, I tried qemu to emulate the sam460ex
at the moment its functioning is fine.
I can not install update 1 the system crashes
both in offline mode and online always error
checking the file with md5sum is correct
Is there a way to do it manually?

Have You tried FS-UAE instead of Qemu? I have much better experience with that, I always ended up with pain when dealing with qemu.

thanks for the suggestion, fs-uae or winuae emulate a ppc-classic
With Qemu you emulate a sam460ex even if still in development I hope a graphic card is emulated later.
I think the bug is in Qemu but I did not find other people who tried with the update1.

@white Hello, i had the same errors since the first versions of QEMU which where able to simulate a SAM460ex. Nothing has changed so far. Yesterday i compiled QEMU 3.1.0 on my Mac, same thing. Developement is still active, so there might be hope for us. Today QEMU is very limited concerning AmigaOS 4 filesystem support, networking and graphics.

yes, the filesystem is currently limited to ffs
the graphics are limited
internet works, netsurf etc.
so you confirm that there are problems with the update 1?
could it be the fault of ffs filesystem?

One last question is the sfs filesystem of amiga final edition classic 4.1 compatible with the sam460ex version or are they different binary versions?

@white Well, I'm not involved in any kind of development concerning qemu. But: as far as i've read some information on these sites

the filesystems seem to be a problem. Maybe that's because the hardware isn't fully emulated yet.
I would recommend to post your questions about qemu in above thread (amigworld). The programmer itself gets informed if theres any useful information, and you should soon get a proper reply.

By the way, how did you activate the networking?

At the moment this is the code I use
I use a debian distribution with an I5 2400
then just choose rtl8029 in the new adsl connection wizard with amigaos4.1

Hi, the problem of amigaos 4.1 final edition related to the update 1 was solved with a new patch for qemu of zbalaton
Even with the sam460ex you must add the command to the startup-sequence:
C: BootLoader COMMANDLINE = "NoRamPager"
