I found a small error that was preventing the recent list was being created if it didn;t exist. Now fixed in 1.10. The variables are manipulated with the DOS SetVar / GetVar API so the directory does not need to be created in advance when all is working properly.

Btw, today I finally got around playing a little with SketchBlock, because I got a "new" used Wacom Tablet in the mail!

It's a Graphire 3 A3 size.. and it's so fun to use with SketchBlock!

I have one small and humble request for the next versions of SketchBlock: to optionally have a crosshair pointer instead of the Tools pointer.
Or if you don't want to give up the tools pointer, to have both the crosshair pointer and the tools slightly offset.

thx for the explanation regarding wordwrap, and indeed wordwrap as you type is working but not disabling the horizontal scrolling so that the text stays in the window and it is not extended until you scroll.

I updated the icon tooltype with RECENT=ENVARC:Recent_MultiEditView and RECENTENTRIES=10 and although the recent menu item is not greyed anymore, it still does nothing when I click on it (same for Multiviewer BTW).
not to mention I created and empty file in the location specified in the icon tooltype.

the correct entry for the RECENT tools-type is without the "Envarc:" path.
eg.

RECENT=MultiEdit/RecentFiles

will set MultiEdit to look for the file "RecentFiles" in "ENVARC:MultiEdit/"

RECENT=MultiEditRecentFiles

will set MultiEdit to look for the file "ENVARC:MultiEditRecentFiles"

I can confirm it works on AmigaONE-XE and AmigaONE-X1000 using the settings of the first example. The only thing I did, was to create an empty dir in ENVARC: named "MultiEdit"

from the Workbench, press Right-Amiga+E and type

I think you mistaken

Creating the directory will not make it work. The code save the envirnment variable is disabled by an error. (fixed in latest unreleased version).

The recent list will therefore only persist whilst Multiedit is open, which may be what you are seeing.

If you are sharing your recent list with MultiViewer then it may be that you see it import that list, but it won't add to it.

The "Static" module (background/wallpaper changer) has a memory leak which will eat away gfx and normal RAM memory over time until either CANDI crashes (see log) or the WB freezes (because it hits the "bad" RAM space - the last ~20% of the 2 GB).



Since none of my CANDI reports on the bug tracker have been picked up i doubt that will be investigated or even fixed. Waste of money

and here is another CANDI crash with Dandelion 1.1

This crash started happening after using "Static" and going back to Dandelion.

There is something completely borked in CANDI

Only caught the serial as the system freezes solid

Seems to have something to do with the prefs file, CANDI is obviously trashing it when running certain modules.

Try deleting the CANDI...xml (too long name to bother looking it up) in ENV and ENVARC and after that run CANDI Prefs and save your settings again.

That won't work for bugged modules unfortunately, it will keep crashing (i.e. "static").

I "fixed" my "Dandelion" crash with that method...

When there is no help from the "sellers" we have to help ourselves

It *IS* definitely a problem of CANDI reading (and probably writing too) in it's own settings.

I just did a test with a running CANDI, deleting it's settings from both ENV and ENVARC.
Let it run a few more minutes and it will crash 100%...now time to get it fixed AmigaKit?
