How to communicate with A-EON using AmigaOS browsers?

Hi,

I tried to purchase some software through AmiStore, but failed as the Paypal option requires reCAPTCHA which doesn't work with current versions of NetSurf and Odyssey (1.23r4_beta05). For some reason the 'pay with credit card' would not work either. I went to http://a-eon.com/ and tried to contact A-EON directly. But their contact form uses - reCAPTCHA! It's somewhat annoying that even Amiga sites are not accessible with Amigas. Is there e.g. an email address for A-EON support?

Try using Ibrowse for the contact webform.

Seems that the reCAPTCHA! is turned off when browser Ibrowse is detected .

Looks like the old OWB browser may also work.

The captcha needs javascript and a good javascript the Amiga browsers cans do nothing with this.

You are indeed correct in the case of the contact form.

The registration form on the A-Eon site is the area were an Amga browser agent bypasses the reCAPTCHA!.

Payment procedure in Ami Store is a bit like winning a lottery, if you are lucky you manage to pay, if you even more lucky payment processes is not interrupted, and your product appears in the store.

But the chance of success can be increased by checking that web browser is working on SSL encrypted web pages, making sure the web browser configured correct, that it does support JavaScript, and that JavaScript is enabled by default. Make sure web browser is spoofed as web browser supported by payment service. Installing the latest web browser, and updating AMISSL and so on. And make sure you have the latest version of AmiStore before you attempt it.

I would expect that only the initial communication needs this form.
Subsequent communication would probably be by regular email or phone .
So you could get someone to send through the initial request for you if you don't have access to a device that can handle the reCAPTCHA!. You could PM your basic info and your query for someone to send on. all responses would come back to your email address or Phone number
