phpbb forum conversion

I was wondering if someone knows if it is possible to convert an phpbb forum to something better? Xoops or similar? Without to much work??

If you want to move to a CMS, like Xoops, Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla etc., you have to check if they have migrate modules for that. I don't believe that you are going to find a perfect, problem free solution, and this is going to be a little bit tricky, especially with the user accounts.

You need to investigate what exactly is available. This might narrow down your options, as well.

Do you know of any persons or companies that can do such work? Are there other ways to find out how hard it is to do such an job?
