Tonight i found on amiupdate the z.library library between updates on reboot simply remains a gray screen I tried 3 times to redo the update but the problem remains. Fortunately I have a backup of the system. Has anyone encountered the same problem? Thank you.
What version is this? I am a little perplexed how there could be a new release now since I haven't made a new version of the library since V53.9 in 2017, which I've been using without problems for years.
As the latest zlib version is still 1.2.11 there hasn't been much reason to update it.
Looking at the AmiUpdate database contents there is an entry with no maintainer for a z.library version 582.1 (!).
If this leads to some really old library version being installed, like the V50.0 on OS4Depot from Johan Gill or any version released prior to the library being included with the OS then that could explain your problems.
Edit: Checking the download link it is V52.1, which was the last freely available version made by me (it even points to my own website). Given the crazy version number and that there is no maintainer listed (it should be me) it seems likely that the AmiUpdate entry has been corrupted somehow.
My appologies for any inconvenience caused here. I had to rebuild the public app database manually due to a total loss. There may still be some errors in it due to this, so please bear with us while we correct any such errors. The listing for z.library has now been fixed.

I can't boot without startup-sequence. Still crashing.
I tried to boot from the CD but OpenFirmware doesn't see it. I must find another way to boot from the CD to restore my WB. And even so, there is no Radeon HD driver on it so I won't see anything.
I cannot restore my backup since I cannot start, even without startup-sequence and I have no other OS4 system to use for copying files.
Regarding the spanish translations for the MCC classes, they are correct as committed by the maintainer. Maybe you have the catalog files installed without the actual classes...

I had a nightmare trying to boot from the CD, kept getting stuck on the splash screen. After taking out various bits and bobs it would seem my DVD drive is on the way out. Recognised by the system and starts the CD before getting stuck on the splash screen.
Had to connect an internal slim drive I had lying around.
Will probably install a backup copy of my current setup on a bootable partition unless anybody has any better ideas?
@salass00 I use the version which V53.9 in 2017 I just thought the new library was not compatible with my configuration. Thank you
@TiredOfLife i don't use real hardware but winuae i have the system installed on a real hard drive with "x76" initialization marked as "hide" on a dedicated partition as amitlhon did many years ago ' TrueImage for windows is able to make a backup copy of the entire hard disk and then restore it in case of need Fortunately
According to the database, LOCALE:Catalogs/spanish

All I can suggest for now, is to enable "Verbose Log" then perform a scan. The log will be quite large, but a search for "MCC" should show the results of the verion check for those two entries.
See what it says...

Ah, thanks, that helped...a bit..
Still, the two .mcp.catalog files AU is referring to and checking against are still nowhere to be found in my LOCALES:catalogs/spanish/ dir
edit:
Ooohkay, now it gets weirder The files don't display in shell, on WB or in an ASL requester, but i CAN version them version LOCALE:Catalogs/spanish/NListviews_mcp.catalog NListviews_mcp.catalog 2.14
What the freak?
I CANNOT copy them: copy LOCALE:Catalogs/spanish/NListviews_mcp.catalog ram: Cannot open "Catalogs/spanish/NListviews_mcp.catalog" for input - COPY: object not found
So, what the henry is going on here?
Whuu, i can notepad them though...think i found a filesystem glitch
Don't want to try and delete them as of yet, maybe i can abuse it somehow...
