I have had it disabled this whole time since the update. I just checked the box to enable it, rebooted and Updater worked fine now with effects turned on.

Thumbs up!
Don't know why but it must be something with the gfx in the Updater window.

No lockups over here what so ever except if I disable GUI effects then total freeze of my X5000.

Do you have an fresh install or installed over old X5000 install?

I made a Typo in the post... had to be NO problem at all (corrected now) .

Have seen two lockups in total with updater. Most of the time it just works. Fresh install of Update 2.

What version of Updater are you using? I am having no issues on my X5000 with Updater v53.70 with a fresh install of os4.1FE upd2 + all latest public enhancer files.

The only way I got a crash when turning compositing effects off was for an app that was already running in Amidock. Never a full system freeze.

For example, for now, just fire up the updater, and it lockup on the running, just showing me an empty grey window.

I don't have amispehere running by default, so it runs as well when I Dbl-click on updater from amidock. Also, it can be related to some settings inside of amidock, dunno. But what is for sure, is that it lockups from time to time. If any Enhancer devs (like Trixie or Andy) is interesting to fix it, I can then made good tests/bug-reports, if nope, then it not worth time spending on bug report no one will deal with :)

See, it crashes in the listviewer.gadget:myDraw_Column()+0x378. So it faults of the listviewer.gadget which under Enhancer's hands. The version of listviewer.gadget i use are 53.29 (06/05/2020).

I do not know what version of listviewer.gadget is in public, but at least the latest one cause that issue.

Problem seems to be System or configuration specific.
Exact version listviewer.gadget 53.29 (06/05/2020) here and no problems.

Have you tried to install Enhancer SOftware Core Edition ?
This should adjust the basic Enhancer components to working levels .

Yes, it can be probably something about system settings as well, but a crash is clear in listviewer.gadget, I mean stack trace is of no way misleading, but 100% pointing out on listviewer.gadget. And exactly in myDraw_Column().

And this is random. It can happen one time, and other times not. And as our system different, it can be just a different memory layout and you just lucky to not crash.

@Enhancer_devs
Can anybody build a debug version of listviewer.gadget, so we can see a line where it crashes ?
