IRC down?

I normally connect with irc.amigaworld.net or irc.amigans.net but neither work.. and www.amigaworld.net appears down so guessing no one here has irc access to their normal channels here?

Still no one that wants to take over hosting it? Perhaps with a more up to date ircd as well. I'd be happy to redirect the dns entries.

I don't use irc any more so I don't notice when it goes down.

So is Amigans IRC Dead?

Have finally found space for my MicroA1 in the house, switched it on, testing stuff, but no IRC.

Connection times out then Gethostbyname failures

Have tried all servers and even ip addresses with either 5555 or 6667 no luck.

I haven't used IRC in a long time (probably late 90s), so I thought I'd give it a go with WookieChat but I can't connect to irc.amigans.net. I get these errors:

127.0.0.1 is what I have in Internet prefs for my localhost, so maybe I have something configured wrong there?

Have you tried irc.amigans.net ?
The 127.0.0.1 is the localhost IP always, so something is wrong with your setup.

I am puzzled. Have tried to move my internet connection on internet prefs from DHCP to Static. Same result.

Have tried both irc.amigans.net and NO.amigaworld.net, I get the same results as Mikey_C.

Starting to wonder if it's my ISP blocking something?
