What about the Radeon HD series?

Or will it work only on the RX cards?

As Hans suggested, I've replaced my power supply with a new 750W PSU (Corsair RM750 ; 80 plus gold). And I have replaced my memory with a new set of 2x4GB 1600MT/s dimms (Corsair vengeance).

But as expected, this made no difference.

The three issues remain:
1. Warm reset will always result in a cache cohency message and a system halt.- > Annoying but apparently normal behaviour

2. Playing movies, even the ones that were used with testing the driver, result in a random crash of the GFX driver. I have seen four different debug outputs so far for the same movie.

3. 3440x1440 simply doesn't work reliable. Switching to another screenmode will result in no output signal. Manual screenmodes with 3440x1440 doesn't work at all. No matter the update rate.

At this point I will not spend more money on an RX solution. For now I'll stay with my R9 270X and might give it another try when a solution is found or the RX570 and above cards are fully supported.

Don't know if anyone has tried the video playback from a clean OS 4.1 FE Update 2 + Enhancer 2.0 boot volume to eliminate any issues with other installed stuff.

AmigaOS4.1 Final Edition > Update 1 > Update 2 > Update 2 Hotfix > Enhancer 2.0

I can reproduce same crash.

My installions is basically clean. It exist since januari of this year.

FE Upd 1 -> enhancer 1.5 -> update 2 -> hotfix -> Enhancer 2.0

FE Upd 1 -> enhancer 1.5 -> update 2 -> hotfix -> Enhancer 2.0

WELL:
FE Upd 1 -> update 2 -> Enhancer 2.0


PS.

UPDATE2:
The original update 2 package has also been updated with the components in the hot fix and is now available in a new version (version number 53.14)

HOTFIX:
The hotfix should only be applied on top of the original update 2 package released on December 23,2020!

Can you ensure that if I do as you suggest that all my issues with the RadeonRX disappear?

One thing I find odd is that in the screenshots people have posted here of Emotion running fine, it says "GPU Hardware Encoding VAAPI". When I run Emotion, it says "YUV Video Encoding". Its the same version of Emotion 1.9.

What is the required tooltypes for Emotion?

YUVAccel=TRUE
VAAPIAccel=TRUE
ForceSoftware=FALSE

Make sure that the VA.library was installed in LIBS:.
Plus Libs:VA/RadeonRX_drv_video.library

Aso verify what version of the Radeon Rx driver is actually loaded . Should be version 2.4 .

has anyone else experienced the problem that animated backgrounds won't work since the installation of the new enhancer 2 package? at the moment i have disabled candy in wbstartup.
