I have sometimes problems getting online with my SE and ADSL. It seems to find ip adress and all that but when i try ibrowse it says no dns found.

I then try to shut down the network and restart it. It then gives me the following output:

Waiting for network to shut down... shutdown finished.
Interface "internet" added.
Trying interface "internet" configuration...
Interface "internet" configured, address = 90.149.93.110, network mask = 255.255.254.0.
Added default route to 90.149.92.1.
Default domain name is "adsl.tele2.no".
Added domain name server 193.216.1.13.
Added domain name server 193.216.69.13.
Interface "internet" address 90.149.93.110 has been leased until 5.Aug.2007 12.57.07 and will be renewed before it expires.

What does the expiry stuff means???

Sometimes this works, other times it wont connect.

Is this the amiga's fault or some problems with the adsl line???

When the network stack run in dhcp mode, it starts by exchanges infomation.

As it has to get hold of an ip to use it ask the rounter for an IP to use, the router then gives one if there is one free but its not for keepings it has to give it back in x secounds, it depends on how the router is set up. Some need to return the ip after a hour other after a day, but that is all up to the router.

So when the time expire it have to ask again for a new ip normaly its the same you get in return but you can not be sure of that.

I have to put the ADSL modem ON a few seconds before the machine and then it works in os4 on an XE. Maybe something in the s-sequence but I have the run nil thingies allready. Hard to tell as I can bet for a 100? that You don't have the same company connecting the net... These really can be of a failure too. Mine is very steady. Try the cables again? I have very old ones but works when not "danced" upon them;) Should not be the Roadshows problem?

Is IB the same as AWeb?

Good Night.
