When this forum was first opened, it was real quiet and I came up with a new controversy but kept it under my hat because things picked up....until now. So here it is after a long shelving by me:


The straw, (seems innocent)....

What was it first used for, drinking from pools of water off the ground and from indentations on fallen trees?

OR...

Hiding from pursuers by breathing under water??

OR...

Blowing dust away and improving the chance of a fire starting???



I'm sure this is a storm that will rock the pillars of our pre-history knowledge!

I would think, making straw baskets or plates from it.

Hmmm, never thought of that, baskets. But plates?!?


Then there's hats, a bed, and put into sun dried mud bricks to make them stronger.
