I have a few bucks on my AmiStore account. How to use them for my next purchase? Every time I buy sth I have to transfer the full price even though there are a few bucks in my account. With each purchase, this unused amount increases.
@Nuder_Try So you are expecting a company reply on an issue you haven’t yet flagged to the company concerned? It’s hard to see this thread as anything other than simply stirring the pot.
Are you suggesting I have started this thread to stir the pot? Because that's exactly what you did. I asked others for help as I didn't get any when I needed. I have sent an e-mail, twice, to the address provided personally by "Amigakit". I asked here. On AW.net ... nothing. As Amigakit is very active in talking to AOS4 / Hyperion / AEon haters, people who will never buy any "red" product, I assumed they would eventually spot the "AmiStore" word in the title and say something useful to returning customers.
@walkero
I thought others had a chance to solve this problem before. Users are always happy to help and I want to support EntwicklerX guys.
@mr2 ddni and me clearly referred to Nuder_Try's comment. And what I said was that along with a post in our forum it is always a good practice to send an email to the company that the question is about, because they do not always check all the forums in case someone post something for them.
Although we have the pleasure to have amigakit frequently answering questions here, this forum is not their customer support platform. So they are not obligated to answer questions here.
Sorry if my previous message was not explained well and got misunderstood.
@walkero It seems like they always find time to answer people criticizing them though, while e-mails going unanswered is a common complaint against them.
This is just like television, only you can see much further.
I think the point is, even on their official support forums - where this specific bug has already been raised - they don't reply. But criticize Matt's choices of what to include in Enhancer? or some other passive aggressive criticism of how he runs his business? You'll get an answer within minutes!
The residual amount is simply the credit card transaction fee. It gets added at checkout to cover the high fees the credit card companies and PayPal charge (especially with multi-currency). There is a bug that needs to be resolved where Amistore just deducts the product price and not the credit card fee from your balance. This makes your balance appear in credit when in fact it is not. Currently moving at the moment so I will not be available for at least another week to come. The bug is marked for further investigation.
You're going to have a problem with fixing that though, because you'll have to explain to all your customers why you're 'charging' their accounts unexpectedly. And since you are in the UK, you aren't allowed to hold customers' funds indefinitely, unless you are an FCA regulated emoney service provider. If you at least sent out receipts from the system, as you've been asked to do on many occasions, you would at least have records to prove that this is just a correction, and not something more dubious.
