POP3 configuration on YAM

I have been all this evening and probably more time seeking for info,changing options on my account on gmail,reading english forum as abime.net and as I can't reach to good port,instead I will only post my settings now:

Under YAM's POP3 tab:

username: mine
TSLv1/SSLv3: 995

I think there is more data but I cannot reach it now.That's because I downloaded and installed YAM 2.4 and now it seems not to exit

If I can I will send you here the exact settings on the latest YAM nightly build

For now these can be indicative I think and you surely will have something to say

Use SSL/TLS, Plain Password.

I don-t see the option plain password on POP3 config.

On the configuration page top left, select TCP/IP.
You should see the list of email accounts you have added.
Select your gmail account.
On the right hand side you should see -
Connection Security
Authentication

Change the first one to SSL/TLS
And the second to Plain Password.

Which version of YAM are you using?

That's my question because I am using nightly build and I don't see the options you appoint.

I will give you my details here:

Receive mail (POP3)


-Active
-Description: my e-mail
-Server: pop.gmail.com
-Port: 995 - Standard: 995

-Security in connection SSL/TLS
-Authentication: Password
-User name: my e-mail
-Password: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Other tham this I don't see any more options on the POP3
tab

Can you help me to receive mail?

In your google account (use chrome/firefox browser, go to your profile/general settings) you must have "Acceso a aplicaciones poco seguras" ON/Enable (or just search on web for "Acceso a aplicaciones poco seguras gmail").


-Security in connection SSL/TLS
-Authentication: Password
-User name: I have only the "user" without the domain (@gmail.com)
-Password: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm using the nightly as well.
Your settings are virtually the same.
Your says Password while mine says plain password but it will be the same.
The other option is Apop encrypted.

I receive emails no problem.
Are you getting any error messages?

Updating or installing AmiSSL as Jabirulo says might fix the problem.

Hello Javirulo And welome back.You are a valued user for me because you fixed my YAM problems on the Amiga One X5000 last years and that's something I have to recognize to you.

And yes I supposed you were busy because I called you 4 times on the last days and you didn't answer,even sent you a voice message too.

About YAM I am using now the nightly build from May 2021 probably.I hope soon to use at least one e-mail account that you know and more too.

The most important part of your message/post is to enter Gmail/Settings and change "Acceso a aplicaciones poco seguras" turn to ON,Or searh on google with the same and gmail as the last aditional word

I will come back when I have this tested OK?

Yes I am receiving some error messages.

I have installed again AmiSSL I think to see if this could be the problem.

The message after trying to test to receive mail

Erroneous response by the mail server -pop.gmail.com- of the account -my e-mail- to the command -PASS-

ERR AUTH user password not accepted

Mail Server can`t execute the command and response with the

error message from above
