Also "Amiga Ireland" podcast is not working at all. Does it work for you, in AmiAMP?
Most podcast are in a format that AmigaAMP3 does not support so it won't play them. See post #174 for a script that will allow you to pick a player via a requester when play is clicked.
Ok. If you think that the fault does not sit on the Emotion side, it probably does not make sense to continue the conversation via OS4Welt.de. So I will answer here. My version va.library is 1.4 (27/09/2019). There is no newer version on Updater. Anyway, she has no separately at all (it is part of Enhancer Software 2). Can you check if the problem with the public version of Va.Library also occurs on your configuration?
@mufa I just checked with va.library 1.4 and everything seems to work fine with Emotion. No issues. What I would propose is to check the power settings from Enhancer. Try to set it to the higher value.
Thank you all for your replies, I really appreciate it! If you are able to listen to the AmigaIreland, then I am missing something in my system, will have to investigate and find out what it is. I tried with AmiAMP, Emotion and ffplay and no go.
@ktadd
Used your script and it worked exactly as expected, I was able to pick player of my choosing. Thank you for that.
OK, my previous conclusions were premature. I made more tests today, on a larger number of podcasts. In fact, the results are such that part of the podcasts operates without any problems on Emotion 1.9, regardless of whether I turn off or turn on va.library. However, there are podcasts that only work on Emotion 1.1 and do not want to work on Emotion 1.9. Check such as Amiwigilia or Amicast.
Yes this is how FFPlay can also be used, you can also Emotion 1.1. I described my impressions on this subject on my blog in the Polish MediaVault review. Link.
The article is very good written and I really enjoyed it. I have only to remark one thing. You referred to TuneNet as an alternative application that supports radio stations. Just have in mind that finding radio stations doesn't work for a long time now for the free version. If someone wants to get this feature, he has to buy Enhancer Package. MediaVault brings it completely free for everyone to use.
Thank you so much for doing this article. I really appreciate it.
@nbache First of all I would like to thank you for your support and help. I really appreciate it.
I uploaded the new release on OS4depot today and it is on the upload page. I am thinking to upload there only the major and minor releases, but not the patches.
As patches consider the releases where I increase the third digit only. Like this one which upgrades 1.4.1 to 1.4.2.
Having the self update process available in MediaVault, which seems to work fine, with no issues reported, I believe that it is a good way to get the updates in an easy way.
It includes the ability to not only choose the player from a requester but also allows a choice to download a stream copy or convert to mp3 as it's downloading. It requires ffmpeg for downloading to work.
Read the readme file in the archive for user customizable options.
It has been uploaded to OS4Depot under the name mediavaultscript.lha. Currently in the upload area but should be available soon.

@ktadd I would say, distribute it on OS4Depot if you want, because I don't know when I am going to bring the replacement. Other things have higher priority for now. So, let the people use it, if they want, because it is awesome what you did there.
