Not too shy to talk

I recently noticed this link on the DiscreetFX website.

I'd previously been, as I suspect many others are, under the impression that it hadn't been available for a number of years now.
I didn't know how long ago this link was from so I PM'd Bill Panagouleas last night and he confirmed that you can indeed still by it via the link.

I myself bought it in 2001 and have used it quite a lot over the years because of its many useful and fun features. Although there are a few bugs I can easily recommend it anyone who wants a good paint/image processing application.

I have run it on and A1200 060, Amithlon and OS4, it probably also works on MorphOS too.

I must admit I have had that link for a couple of years! initially its was linked from Pauls web site,( can't find it now) so I saved the link then just as well, of course it not being on there now dosen't help if anybody goes looking for the Amiga Version of Photogenics.
maybe Discreet FX ought to ask Paul if they could develop it further? I'd like a OS4 native version

I talked with Paul several months ago. He is very busy with the programs he ...sells.
He is not against the idea of an OS4 version of Photogenics but not until the market is commercially interesting again.

'commercially interesting' is a politically correct term for the following 2 things then.

- no more lawsuit. And then depending on the outcome of the lawsuit.
- many, many new users. And this depends on the part mentioned above.

The only way we are going to quickly have many more users is if this lawsuit ends quickly and the Mac Mini is going to be supported. But since just about anybody in the decision making process is incompetent I doubt this will happen.
