Duke Nukem 3D alert no sound

Hi Amigans

How are you?

I downloaded yesterday 2 or 3 Duke Nukem data files.Now I can play the game without sound and I like this game a lot.

Must anybody help me please?

How can I play Duke Nukem 3D with sound activated?

WE love THIS GAME:i of course love.

Any ideas?

Is it the PowerPC version, maybe you have installed 68K version for Paula sound card/chip?

Duke Nukem 3D is one of my faves on 3D gaming on Amiga as we have not tested or played such big names

Yes my version downloaded was the one from os4depot.

Sometimes AHI acts like is off on the Workbench and others plays perfectly my music with the help of AmigaAMP version 3

I reckon that sometimes something goes wrong with my Amiga X5000 sound?

AHI has two operations modes, low level device api, and high level api, I believe high level API can block other players.

You notice this on some programs.

2en in AHI prefs there channel selector, it defines how many stereo channels you can have at the same time, don’t go crazy, if set high number CPU usage goes up, as channels are software mixed.

UNIT 0 works different from UNIT 1,2,3,4 etc, Unit 0 is non-blocking output.
