I made a new video that shows how all the latest "Big" classic amiga games of the late commercial amiga era run on AmigaOS4. There I show games such as Napalm, Earth2140, Wipeout2097, Exodus, Software Tycon, PayBack, Foundation Gold, Nightlong, Heretic 2, The Feeble Files, MYST and CrossFireII. Also, put some comments there, and they're just it all will be not that "static" to watch just the recorded video. Hope you like it:

Hey, thanks for making such a nice video and the work on getting all those games to run. I purchaed several of these games back in the days when I had an A3000 with a 68060 and picassoIV graphics card. Will be nice if I can get them running on my X1000 again.
@davew Yeah, Napalm is pretty playable. Through back in past ppls says there can be issues with passing level2 because of "too fast speed", but i pass it with no probs.
@ktadd Most of those games i show only because i never play normally in them on my a1200, which was a real monster: it has a mediator with voodoo3 in, then at the same time i have BPPC which i overclocked to be 300mhz (or 266 didn't remember well) and overclock 060 in it to be 66mhz. Add to that i have BVision connected at the same time, so i have 2 system partitions, one which runs on bvision with cgx, and one which runs on mediator with p96,so i was able to run everything. Ah, and there was a micronicscandy to be scan doubler, then fast-ata3, ps2 adapter for mouse, a3000 reworked original keyboard...
But even then, Heretic2 always was buggy one me, Nighlong wasn't ever properlly running, Namapl and Exodus through works. Wipeout2097 works, but not that good. And things which runs, especially WarpOS ones was always slow.
And it's quite fun today to run all of this in their native form, on still real amigaos ! :)
Intro and outro are cut-offs from a Soviet movie from 1967 based on Nikolay Gogol's horror story written by him in 1833. Name of the story (and the movie too): Viy. It can be translated like "Spirit of Evil" but that is different: Viy is a more local/folklore kind of thing, coming from times when people believe for real in vampires/witches/ghoulds/etc.
In the small villages, there always was big cults of "believe" in all kind of crap, I even didn't mean religious classic fans like we have now, but even scarier obscure things about that kind of evil spirits.
When i was a child and it was just only 35 years ago when i was about 7-8 years old, i often come to the village of my grandma (so not that far away by time) and I saw all those scary rites which scared me like hell. Everything was around it, and i remember even my grandma saying to me "you can't watch a mirror for 3 days after some ppls death, or they will come for you". Or, "if you will calling witch 3 times, she can come at night for you, and take you". Damn :)
So when watching this old-school movie or reading that story in the book, I always feel like back to my childhood. Probably today we can't find such stuff in today's villages and small towns, but even just 35 years ago it was for real in people.
As for the movie/book itself, it's about 3 men who studied at the seminary (that was very popular in 18xx) and they want coming to home for a few days, but as there weren't any cars back in days, but only legs or horses :) they go home on their legs. The road is long, and they stop every night at different places, one place was grandma who was too good for them. Once they are come to sleep, she comes to Khoma's room (Khoma is the main person), climbed on his back, lifted him into the air, and flew. He was scared like shit and got that this is a witch. So he many times asked her back to the ground, and she agreed, he didn't lose time, take the big stick and start beating the shit out of her. But at some moment he sees that this is not grandma, but a very pretty young woman. He was scared, and run away back to the seminary. In the next days, his teacher says that in some village, died daughter of some very powerful man. Before she dies, she asks the father that she needs one man with the name Khoma from the seminary to read the psalter over her dead body for 3 days once she dies (that was another popular rite to do in villages). And those village churches were always like satan's place instead: scary and not friendly at all (you can see it in the intro part of my video pretty well).
So, Khoma wasn't sure who is calling him (as it was popular to call from seminary those workers to read psalters over dead bodies).
And so, come the "main part" of the book: on the first day, she got up from the coffin standing next to him and tried to catch him, but "can't see" him. Khoma remembers some very old rite that if he will draw round the "magic circle", then God will save him from the evil things. So Khoma survives the first night and once roosters crowed, she loses power and jumps in the coffin back. He then tries to explain all that to everyone, but no one believes him and only laughs. So they put him by force back to the church, and the second night starts. He draws right from the start (before 00:00) a "holy magic circle" which helped him in the first night and start reading psalter. The things start just like in the intro in my video: coffin starts flying, she out of the coffin and starts to scream on him "Khooommaa I come for you! Khooommaa!". And it's not a stupid screaming, but scream nice one, like hey hey my friend, come to me (while staying in the flying coffin, yeah). But still, she can't go past the magic circle, the morning starts, roosters crowed, and Khoma is still alive, but, his head is completely gray because of too much fear.
At the end of the story, he was put in the church by force by the village's citizens on the 3rd night and was drunk enough to at least not die because of fear right away. So once 3st night start, the witch (still in the form of a pretty woman) understand that she can't come over the "holy live circle" for him, and called for help devils, ghouls and co, whos coming and trying to find him and trying to broke that holy-save-circle. And still nothing. As nothing works, she called for a "Viy". Viy is a big ugly scare thing from the deep of the hell which can see through the holy-save-circle. In the movie, Viy is more funny than scary, but when you read the book, you of course imagine all the madness coming for him
And when the morning was about to start, but still not, "Viy" found him, point by a finger saying "there he are ! Take him" all the ghouls and other devilish things jump on him, he start screaming that they should come to senses, leave him alone but nothing. And then he just died because of a heart attack and right at this time morning starts. Ghould and stuff start to die right on the floor, inside of the walls, etc. Witch jumps into the coffin and transforms into that ugly old grandma
End of the movie, other ppls come to church find a dead body of Khoma, an ugly old woman the coffin, and move away.
I never believe in any religion, etc, because it is just too simple for me, but i always love all those scary stories, as they always were quite interesting, and evil things in them, always have all kinds of different power. Just like today's dumbs super-heroes probably, but my superhero was a witch killing Khoma from one side, and the Khoma fighting with crap from another side. So the story while looks "easy" make you think about different kind of things in your life :) meanings here can be different here. and about deeds and merits for them, and about the struggle between good and evil, and about the struggle between good and bad within oneself, and so on.
If anyone wants to see that old (be sure you watch OLD, 1967 movie because there are a new one, crappy Hollywood-kind shit without any connection to the original story), there is it with English subs:
Anyway, the reason why I put it in the video, it's just to show that the old amiga classic commercial era come up from the grave for a while again, to take down somebody with, and at the end come back to the grave of the 200x :)
Speaking about Nightlong lately rediscovered my classic game CDs (trying to install your Foundation Gold patch) and I decided to try to install it on my X1000 but to date I failed to have it running. I think I remember there was a problem when the wb was on a 32-bit screen, so you think this is something you could try to patch?
PS: BTW your Foundation patch works good. Though, I would have enlarged the prefs window a little bit more as some buttons are still on the edge (at least on my system which has the default theme, so probably a slightly larger window title than yours)

Hmm.. I use 32bit WB, and run Nighlong on 32bit wb for sure. But, there were some official Nighlong patches that should be applied first (to be sure that it's not because of the nonpatched version).
There at least were 2 patches: nightlong-update-1.2ppc.lha and nightlong-update-v1.2.lha
I play in the 68k version (as this is one that works fine). If I remember right, the PPC version can't see modes or something of that sort.
Anyway, i think that Nighlong is the next game to patch, yeah, i want to remove that crap around the person, which probably happens due to the bad blending algo they used with little-endian bitmaps images on or something (which modern cards do not support)
Also, what i currently didn't get, why almost in all classic games, we have or too fast (very fast) intro movies/video plays (napalm, earth2140), or too slow (like nigthlong, payback). Maybe there are some fundamental issues somewhere about timings.
Never owned one and wasn't a fan of it, but have friends in the past who were very "in". It was a computer which wasn't properly marketing (and who will, it was Soviet's computer), with lots of colors in comparison with popular then zx-spectrum, but still wasn't popular enough. But i know that one of the Russian Amigans in the past who was a moderator in FIDO's RU.AMIGA conf, with nick RDC (Denis Sotchenko), was a big fan of it and made for its game, disassemblers, all sorts of extensions, etc. But for myself, i just jump from zx-spectrum to all those a1200/sega-megadrive2/pc.
There were many Russian-only computers, but they all were crap (maybe BK one was ok, but even BK if i remember right was PDP clone or something)
Thank you I had difficulties with the installers (I have the first CD batch with read errors, which for some reason was not apparent on my 1200 PPC back in time but seems to be really a showstopper now under AmigaOS 4...). Then I managed to completely mess my system with rtgmaster and all. I thought PPC version will be easier to run but now I have a grimreaper which only bring me a black screen if ignored. I will try the 68k version again, not sure if I installed both 1.2 patches. I will check, thank you.
Ps: I think the 32bit screen problem is exactly the same problem you mention for the PPC version: it could not find the correct screen resolution.
@abalaban Also, there for sure were issues with different rtgmaster libraries i.e. games usually come with their own different versions of rtgmaster libraries, and they install to the system, can overwrite good ones, etc. So, the "good working" rtgmaster.library is:
And by the way, can you share some Russian Amiga/BK forum links?
Thye amiga-only centric is just one: amiga.org.ru. But it's not very active by the forum, but the news is posted pretty often. Through, of course, it's nothing to compare with amigans.net.
But there is some other forum, which handles "all" old computers, Amigas, BKs, and zx-spectrums (while zx-spectrum is of main interest): zx.pk.ru.
Covered Agat, BK, Vector, DVK/UKNC, Irisha, Korvet, Lvov, Ocean-240, Orion, PK80000, Poisk, Radio-68rk, Specialist and UT-88. But all of them is .. very retro, and some of them it's not more than big calcualtors :)
