Usb external hd not mounting

Howdy.
Having problems trying to read the external usb hd. It is formatted in sfs2.
The sfs module is installed and activated in kicklayout. Nothing happens when i insert the usb hd. Can't find it on media toolbox either.. Any tips?

no idea but can you test on another computer to see if it works ?
I have an old usb external hard drive that was FAT32 formatted on an old PC from work that just worked straight away on my X1000

IIRC was sfs2 really supposed to be supported on amigaos 4, Wasn't
NGFS it's replacement?
meaning is it not only for morphos, and you said sfs module was in
kicklayout... wouldn't you need to have a sfs2 module in
kicklayout?

i would suggest if possible to try it on a morphos/amigaos 3
machine, if it works there, then you should probably look for a
newer sfs(2) module for amigaos 4. I looked around on aminet,
morphos-storage there is no sign of sfs2, unfortunately

SFS2 is not made by same people as the one for MorphOS, they not compatible. And OS4 cannot use MorphOS executables, the information your providing is there for not useful. SFS2 removed from OS4 due to lack of payment to Jorge Stormayer from Hyperion I believe, but you probably get in the Enhancement package from AEON insted.

(AmigaONE X1000, Sam4x0, XE, SE users not effected by this.)

it should work! Here, I am using USB external case for old ATA drives which I used on my old AmigaOne. On all drives I have SFS2 and FFS filesystems and everything is working fine, just plug in to USB and wb shows all partitions. Did you have any error or something?

To get sfs to work on X5000 Enhancer package is required. That the X5000 have.
I'm trying to help someone get their old usb hd with sfs to work under X5000.
NGFS is usable for X5000. Have been using it since it came out. Working nicely for me.

I think there are nothing happening when inserting the usb hd. Nothing comes up on workbench. Supposedly it works on sam460.

Is anything added to the USB log in T: when you attach the harddisk?
Perhaps the HD itself is never being detected by the USB sub system or massstorage driver, or does not respond in a way supported by the USB massstorage driver, and hence never gets picked up by the driver or mounted as a drive.
