I am in a mess.My Morphos stopped working about some weeks, more than a month. And today and days ago I tried ro resurrect with the help of a USB stick and a CD-RW with latest Morphos burned on it but no luck.In fact it doesn't boot from this media at all.And I know Morphos is not dead bacause it show its Morphos logo, then a white screen with the Ambient word and the butterfly and itI musn't go any further
I like Morphos for the time being specially for the fact that I can login or use Facebook directly and in reality I have a lot to learn and improve on this Amiga system. But it feels great to me ,even unregistered.
Last weeks I did a similar post like this on AmigaWorld.net and the folks tried but not result at all.
So how can I boot and restore Morphos again?
I think that the problem came months ago when I leave Wayfarer open bacause I waited to close, but it didn't succeded.
What do you think about this Morphos problem? Is it restorable?
I hope someone can help me to boot Morphos again.
Thanks

OK I know is AmigaOS but I thinked people here could have desirable knowledge about the Morphos system.
I am not registered on any Morphos forum, neither I know of any.

@MamePPCA1 Have you install the last version 3.17? Also there is a know problem for X5000 users and Radeon cards because MorphOS hasn't support ro these new cards while AmigaOS4 with Nova, yes, this problem has been comment in Morphzone.
As was suggested on Morph-Zone maybe it’s time to send your HD to friend who can partition it correct, format it and reinstall AmigaOS4.1 (the correct version).
Dual booting is more hazel then its worth, and I remember dual booting windows and Linux. VIA was in the chipset industry and it was a new kid on the block, the chips were hugely popular due to low price, this forced me into using Linux as my main OS, but from time to time, my NTLoader was overwritten by the LILO bootloader. But as my friends Antique and Me and one of the swappers from Demo group Crusaders (before the Swedes took over), we used to play StarCraft in the summer, and I had to always reinstall windows, this did take about 1 hour or so, they never happy about that. I was huge Linux support for a while. I even got some games for Loki Entertainment, the writing was on the wall, too many developers, too few gamers, and too many wanted everything to be open and free.
The point is you always run risk of trashing your partition due to incompatible filesystems. and let’s be trueful you’re not good at following advice, and you should really understand the two OS well, to do this correct. when dual boot system you can’t just 100% follow simple guides, you need to make sure two operating system, do not overwrite etch other during boot, and during system updates.
I am also running AmigaOS and MorphOS on my X5000. As my Ami knowledge is also not that good, i had some scary moments myself...but.. its running now..
Since AmigaOS and MorphOS by default both use a DH0, DH1 SYS: WORK: etc.. i did this... (if i recall correct)
I installed morphos on a seperate HD using the folowing..
DH0 => became DH0.1 and i labeled this MOSSYS: DH1 => became DH1.1 and i labeled this MOSWORK:
Now both systems dont bite each other.
Hope this points you in the right direction.
AmigaOne X5000 -> 2GHz / 16GB RAM / Radeon RX 550 / ATI X1950 / M-Audio 5.1 -> AmigaOS 4.1 FE / Linux / MorphOS Amiga 1200 -> Recapped / PiStorm CM4 / SD HDD / WifiPi connected to the NET Vampire V4SE TrioBoot RPI4 AmiKit XE

You probably remember wrong, because labeling to MOSSYS: will break things. MorphOS has the MOSSYS: assign which points to the SYS:MorphOS/ directory (MorphOS separates OS files from user files, and OS files reside in this assign). So, relabeling a drive would collide with it.
To avoid confusion I would change the device names of partitions manually to something more explanatory rather than letting OS name them as .1 etc. It's best to do this before or immediatelly after installing the OS, before any applications or configs start pointing with device names (which is a bad practise anyway, but some will do it anyway).
SYS: is always automatically assigned to the partition that system was booted from, so this works correctly always and no need to worry about it, and never try to change it in any case.
I probably would rename device names of MorphOS partitions, for example, to MDH0:, MDH1:, MDH2: etc.
By default the volume name for the system partition is Workbench: on AmigaOS and System: on MorphOS, so this doesn't clash and you can leave them on those names.
Other partitions like Work: can be relabeled as you wish. For example, MOSWork: would work :)

To be honest I never expected to reach such my actual situation.
I am lost now.

OK this nomenclature is good to know, but now that I had re-installed AmigaOS 4.1 FE this evening...
How can I boot or install Morphos on a pendrive or CD-RW as I tried this evening and manage to boot?
I want to install Morphos to use Wayfarer and Facebook among being a new system for me.
Morphos seems good here.

OK the problem comes here since 2 or 3 weeks that I have Morphos installed without booting.I tried several times with a CD-RW and a pendrive and the result was 0.On Fienix I formatted all the Morphos partitions cause they didn't boot and that was how I did on the previous succesfull attempt.I did the formats with gparted.
I entered "usb reset" and "bootmorphos" but it always give me the error message as:
"morphos bootloader version 1.10"
Then:
"failed to scan partitions on device 1"
And finally:
"failed to load a valid MorphOS kernel"
This on "boot from optical"
With the USB pendrive an MorphOS CD-RW prepared to boot and attached
What can I do? I want to re-install MorphOS again!
Thanks in advance

I had downloaded Morphos 3.17 and burned to a USB pendrive before.
Now I will have to enter the options on U-Boot
Meny thanks skateman and all for read.
Trying later
