Yep tested with 2.6 and it works fine now Aniway, noted some general issues:
1) I'm not able to select any language (tried with italian) for the ScummVM GUI in Misc tab... I've tried with any theme but i always got this message:
Quote:
Theme does not support selected language! Misc settings Will be restored.
2) Installation went fine, only it does not copy the drawer icon once finished
3) Could you implement a way to block the screeblanker when ScummVM is running?

- I've never seen this error message, but 1) You need to have translation.dat in a path where ScummVM can find it (e.g. themes) 2) Be aware that ScummVM is still suffering from a strange path problem, where it can't access perfectly fine directories sometimes (if #3 doesn't help, you need to do a reinstall for now) 3) ScummVM is dumb in that it does NOT re-read and update pathes that have been changed and applied, you need to close ScummVM and start it again to make them become accessable.

I just downloaded the package and tried installing it to RAM:ScummVM The upper-level drawer.info is copied as well (just not installed, as *Installer* is not able to access anything above the installation directory, hence this "workaround"). It's called "drawer" and should be easy to drag&drop with WB's "Information".
Once i can come up with a slicker solution i'll integrate it.

Hahahaha, good one Oh, you're serious? In short, no, as you can see from my past inquiries i do not know a single thing about coding, i'm struggling with the easiest tasks and lack the time to improve my "skills". If you have or want to contribute a PR to ScummVM, feel free to do so...sorry

I did not moved anything since installation and translation.dat is already inside the "themes" directory. Still It doesn't load italian language at all, even after a new restart of ScummVM
I tried it here and works pretty well.. This version seems more stable than the previous ones. I have a few questions:
1. Is there a way to hide the output shell that appears when you run the app? 2. Is there a way to use Timi with it, so to use that midi utility and soundfont? 3. Used it with opengl and it crashed. It worked fine with opengles2 though. Is it something expected? I have a ReadeonRX gfx card.
I installed it freshly now and apart from having to add the correct pathes, it works.
Global Options/Misc/Change language to italian/apply...works
btw, if you click on the language list and only English pops up, translation.dat is nowhere to be found, or can't be read properly, or birds pecked at it's suffix, or the ghost in your machine is sad...
1. Is there a way to hide the output shell that appears when you run the app?
Nope, at least not on our platform. You can redirect more stuff to a log file (forgot how rn), but there will still be output to the console.
Design decision from the devs to not let beginners linger completely in the dark if something went wrong. And yes, there are talks about an option to turn that off, but nothing has come of it yet.

Unfortunately no. I took a look at the Timidity implementation, but it's based on a much newer version which can use ports and stuff, doesn't work for our platforms Timnidity port. And Timi doesn't have the mandatory feature set to be targeted either.
You'd be better off with MIDI hardware...i've got one to let go (maybe) btw, if you're interested

OpenGL where? "Use OpenGL with games" or the renderer? Anyway, both work fine here, no RX, just a RadeonHD and (ab)using OGLES2 from Enhancer
Too many targets to tst them all, i'm afraid, but keep them coming

Be sure you use latest warp3dnova + novabridge (all beta) to make opengl (minigl) output works, or with RadeonRX pure opengl will not works (as you probabaly try to use minigl4gl4es or that sort).
Oh yes, we are all more or less on beta...humm, i thought the fallback will work though...nothing was changed in regard to the pure OpenGL, wasn't there?
If you ask me everything seems a bit buggy, when i reported to you i had atleast a list of language showed, then after a reboot only english was showed again! Now I had to select a theme first (then save and close ScummVM) in order to see again the list of the languages in Misc/GUI language.... but again it will not pick italian nor any other language
In output shell it says:
Parser error: Error loading localized Font in theme engine.
I do not have access to novabridge. If that's all it needs, then I am fine with SDL opengles2 and software drivers for now.
What i mean that without NovaBridge, on RadeonRX you have no normal minigl support, and only hackish minigl4gl4es which will not works with ScummVM. That expected.
@Raziel In that terms you can do nothing, because while in ScummVM checking on usuall opengl and on ogles2 is happens, if, user have installed minigl.library it mean it "like installed", but if it broken library, or not working one, ScummVM of course can't detect it. So, no worry, once NovaBridge is released, all will works for RX users with MiniGL too (but who need MiniGL for ScummVM on RadeonRX, if ogles2 works much faster and better)
Thank you very much for version 2.6.0, it appears to work fine on my system. (At least with the old guard of games I play: Zak McKracken, Loom, Space Quest etc.)
Could you try to let AmiUpdate update it and see if that fixes your problems
Problem persist with or without installing it with the included installer (or via AmiUpdate) I have this problem with the language atleast since version 2.5.0 or so, possible they changed something that broke something altrough this does not explain why it works to you
1) Do a fresh install 2) Start ScummVM 3) Global Options/Misc Only (default) and English should be choosable 4) Global Options/Pathes Set the patches to your sub directories, Apply and quit ScummVM
Check the console, there should be some line about "translation.dat" not found.
5) Start ScummVM 6) Global Options/Misc Check available languages, is Italian available?
If not 7) Choose a theme (Modern Remastered is the most advanced and I can't rule out a regression regarding the other themes yet) 8) Global Options/Misc Check the available languages again
You can also try to quit and restart ScummVM once again.
3) Global Options/Misc Only (default) and English should be choosable
Exactly

Ok i set these paths:
Save Path: Leaved as default Theme Path: themes/ Icon Path: Leaved as default Extra Path: extras/ Plugin Path: plugins/

Yes, he gived me that message ... But now after a restart i can see one of the modern theme applied, even if It not specify exactly which one
Still this debug message in output:
WARNING: Could not parse GLSL version 'Huh?'!

5) Start ScummVM
Done

6) Global Options/Misc Check available languages, is Italian available?
Yes, italian is availible on list
Set it, and now... it works!
Perhaps did i had to set ALL the paths in Global/options/Path before trying to set the language? Or the theme Path Is also related ti the language? Which of that paths are the one specific related to the language? And why even if i had not setted it, ScummVM aniway showed me all the languages?
Btw seems we are solved, but a bit tricky procedure
