So basically you need to run a cable from the satellite decoder to the TV card. At the very least there will be a Scart connector on the back of the box, so you'll need a Scart to composite adapter/cable or similar.
Of course the easiest thing to do is buy a cheap indoor aerial and bung that on the back

Hmm, forgive my questions, but as i am not an expert either, i?d like to pinpoint some facts and ... learn
I was hoping to get myself this one: (WinTV HVR3000)
It has an antenna and satellite dish in (dunno the right names for those, sorry, but @Spirantho told me that the chip in the card does the work on deciphering the image data - which he cannot implement, because he hasn?t got a dish - so i?d need to get a settop box to do this instead BEFORE feeding the signal to the card.
Did i get something wrong here?
