Installed Enhancer Software 2.2 today and burned a backup of my SYS: partition with AmiDVD.

This is my system recovery disc for AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition Update 2 + some Enhancer Software.

And it worked just fine. Thumbs up.

Thanks joerg.
Thanks AmigaKit.

Sincerely,
redfox

Did you create a bootable dvd?
Can you restart your miggy with that dvd or is it just a backup from which you can copy the stuff back while in a running system?

I'm asking because i tried to burn an updated bootdisk (latest gfx drivers, RX, and other stuff, but it seems i keep forgetting stuff and it always locks me out when WB/install menu should come up)

In my case, I am using CD-R discs, but yes bootable.

Bootable AmigaOS4 and U-Boot

Both Restart AmigaOS and Restart Computer work ok.

I can boot/restart from this CD and it acts like a "live CD", however, it is much slower than booting directly from my hard drive. I've got quite a few assigns in my user-startup to stuff on my "work" partition and about twenty programs in my AmiDock, it takes a few minutes for all that stuff to populate on the screen.

I goofed up one thing. In my user-startup file there was an assign to a drawer on my AmigaOS4 partition. I have since changed this to SYS: so it will search the SYS: partition (CD when booting off CD) instead of searching the hard drive. Minor change. I also made sure that entries in my AmiDock referenced SYS: instead of AmigaOS4: where appropriate.

I have everything from my SYS: partition on this backup CD (except for AMIStore downloads directory).

In my case, I don't need to backup the advanced radeon drivers because my system is an ancient MicroA1.

Hope this helps.

Yep, thank you, seems the original live boot cd is too old to cope with all the enhancer updates

Can somebody plz says if new AmiDVD from recent Enhancer update works for them, and if works, then what hardware is and what version of AmiDVD is (version need to be done exactly with Date, not just numbers, as there were 2 different binaries of the same versions, but different build date).

I just trying to find those ones who have issues as well as me on X5000 : it just refused to works on latest kernel for now, while i am sure it works some time ago when we do test it.

With kernel 53.99 it works of course as expected.

New AmiDVD works fine for me. I burned a backup of my SYS: partition as a bootable recovery disc.

I use CD-R discs.

Tested only with my Aone XE, it works with the Kernel from OS4.1 FE U2. But with latest Beta Kernel it does not work.
