ImageFX and grab screen

Today I was doing some work with ImageFX and I thought to grab the workbench screen. Unfortunately, although this is doing something, the end result is a grey image with some parts of black or white lines. Not even close to the image I was expecting.

I am thinking that it tries to grab the image as 24-bit, but this is a 32bit screen and something is not working as intended.

I am using the latest Nova version, as I bought it a few years ago.

My question is if anyone tried it and it actually works on his machine. And if anyone bought the A-Eon release, does it work there?

Hi Walkero,

I bought ImageFX from the AMIStore and tried it on my machine, X5000. It did not work out of the box, I got bored with that and uninstalled it. Tried one more time but did not have the patience to fix it and uninstalled it again. By the look, it does not appear to be AOS 4.1 program, but rather 3.1. I can't remember what the issue was, maybe the installation was broken and the paths did not work meaning the opening of the program was giving errors.

I know you want to use ImageFX to grab the screen print of your Workbench, just want to say that I use SnapIt and it works like a charm.

Cheers!

Yes I believe they only fixed the install script.

It works with 8 bit screens.

It looks like it doesn't understand or recognise deeper screens and tries to convert them to 24 bit, even though they are already.

Using SGrab and importing gives better results.

Thanks guys. It would be nice to see it developed further in the future.
