Configuring YAM

Is there a way to get YAM to use the DefIcons settings for viewing attachments?

OK; since no one seems to know the answer to the first question, how about this one:
Is there a way to set YAM to use a different default program when an attachment is double-clicked? (Right now Multiview is launched, but I would like to be able to change this to PicShow.)

I think YAM has its own MIME settings, so it is possible to set any viewer you like for different type of files.

Something like WBRun should work as a default viewer, I know I used to use DOpusDoubleClick to run the Magellan filetype settings. However for what you want you do not need to do this.

using Multiview for your default is the best but if you want images to use picshow then that is easy.

In YAM's MIME Config Add a new Mime type and call it "image/*" which will then be used for all images.

Leave File Extensions and Description blank.

Then for viewer enter the path of Picshow followed by %s.

All images will be then shown using picshow instead of multiview.

Sorry, but I don't read amigans.net too regularly. BillE's suggestion is quite good.

Using WBRun as a default viewer for attachments is a great idea---I'll give it a try.
