@ddni yes, I am using it on Sam440ep-flex. It is much faster for price of different lighting. I.e. worse, because original Doom3 was dark. But not tested last two betas, because my Sam is dismantled now.
AmigaOS3: Amiga 1200 AmigaOS4: Micro A1-C, AmigaOne XE, Pegasos II, Sam440ep, Sam440ep-flex, AmigaOne X1000 MorphOS: Efika 5200b, Pegasos I, Pegasos II, Powerbook, Mac Mini, iMac, Powermac Quad
Many thanks for this video of Dhewm3 on your X5000 040 I am happy with the progress of the work already done, but there is still more to do to keep it 100% playable.
Thank you again for your video broadcast which shows users that this is progressing and that it is real and not misinformation.
finally I finish testing of AmigaOne XE and can return graphics card to my Sam.
@HunoPPC it was only quick test, and till 15th November I will not be at home. But after that I try to adjust Sam's .cfg if it change something.
P.S. Autoexec.cfg placed in /demo have no effect to timedemo (at least screen resolution) It have to be placed to /base and it works also for timedemo.

with config coming with beta4 (so ARB2) in "timedemo demo1 usecache" : 20 FPS.
But this 20 fps is not common acros the game : place without too much objects give about 60FPS, but places where lot of objects drop to just 10 fps. So imho unplayable.
This remind me same problems we have with RCTW Reborn, when we in the room with faniculer, and while whole game around 50-60FPS, in this exactly place where a little bit more stuff on we down to 7-8 FPS.
Tested also with config from beta4 but instead of ARB2 with pure ARB : 51 FPS , but with pure ARB game looks like Duke Nuken 3D :)
@Mufa Is it ARB2 on your video ? Did you disable something else to have it be more playable ?
For me the begining is very slow, just once it starts give 7-8fps, then after few seconds start to be 10 fps, and the more i pass, the more fps i have (as less objects in compare with the begining) i even have 50-60 sometimes. So in general it playable, but not everywhere.
@Huno Is it ok that on the running i have in the console a lot of:
Quote:
R_ValidateGLSLPRogram: program invalid [Internal EGL_Wrapper Shaders AmigaOS4]: RB_GLSL_InitShaders(blblbla) -> using internal glslprogs/texgen.vert: File not found glslprogs/texgen.frag: File not found R_LinkGLSLShader: program failed to link
And that error repeats about 13 times for each pair of shaders. Is it normal ?
That's how I play ARB2 rendering. I only turned off the shadows, which gives about 3FPS. The rest is not worth off because it does not give more speed. The film is on the High Quality, FullHD, Shadow Off settings, all other options On.
That's how I have 20fps in Timedemo. Well, but there are calmer fragments where there are 30 - 60 fps, just like at the beginning of Level 6, which I recorded.
I recorded a video with my Smartphone from the timedemo1. AmigaOneX1000 with RX550. doom3 update4. Use kas1e usecache and the config from the archive in Fullscreen.
Usecache seems to raise fps a little bit up to 15.1fps. Is it useable in game or only timedemo?
yes it's normal, the shaders you see in the console are for the future glsl version (in writing), I will remove it in the next test version to avoid problems. as for your reaction to rtcw you are absolutely right and i also suspect a big bottleneck which is the lights and shadows. in the ARB version they are not there and you have seen how fast it goes.
If I wanted to benchmark this Doom3 what would I do? Is there a demo or something to run? I just want to make sure I am getting the expected performance for a 5000/20 + 560RX with latest OS updates and Enhancer 2.2.
If there is a particular area or demo please let me know what the expected FPS would be.
Merci.

Have you contacted Huno to be a beta tester? If yes then there is a specific timedemo that can be run. Watch this for details: https://youtu.be/DUPOBHGSOuc
