E-UAE and network

Is it possible with our E-UAE to use network ? I mean just to run IBrowse in and be able to surf a bit, or to be able to use some FTP client to be able to connect outside, or to do some IRC.

Not that it very much important for me, as i just use shared directory for both OS4 and emulated OS3, but still in interest to know if network is working at all.

Powerpc AmigaOS and Morphos versions of E-UAE not support real network traffic.

Network support is enabled by .cfg parameter "bsdsocket_emu=true"
and you not need any TCP stack, it is emulated.

But, this feature not worked on MophOS and AmigaOS ports, it works on linux.
At least not worked when I tested it. Maybe in last version something changed...

AmigaOS4: Micro A1-C, AmigaOne XE, Pegasos II, Sam440ep, Sam440ep-flex, AmigaOne X1000
MorphOS: Efika 5200b, Pegasos I, Pegasos II, Powerbook, Mac Mini, iMac, Powermac Quad

I had plan before I got fed up… and took a long break.
can’t say if work or not..

its same API on host as on the guest OS, should not be too complicated should it? And unlike MacOS/Macintosh, the API is well known.

I believe problem with Basilisk II is that emulation take too many resources from the host OS, so TCP/IP stack can’t keep up somehow. Unless we speed up 68K emulation, it won’t be solved.

If end up with similar problem with EAUE, then the only solution I can think of is multicore support in AmigaOS.
