when the AmiSSL libraries are in memory on OS4, the libraries have file locks on them.

Pretty sure they do not have file lock, but libs are not automatic expunged when lib count is 0, they often stay in memory unless, system really need the memory. command “avail flush” forces a expunge. If library is not expunged, I assume library is not properly closed.

ScoutPPC is a useful tool to check this.

"avail flush" doesn't expunge libraries anymore. If you overwrite or rename it, an expunge attempt will be triggered.

The AmiSSL libraries need to maintain an open ElfHandle so that a copy of the data segment can be made for each opener of AmiSSL. With elf.library before 53.35, this meant a file lock too.
