You better hang on to your PegII as it will most likely outperform the A1222+ by a wide margin.
Pegasos 2 is my first and still most loved AmigaNG. His CPU power is still very good, especially my G4 1.33 GHz overclocked version.
But it is old machine today - only IDE or PCI/SATA 150 disks, in most cases only 1 GB DDR RAM and especially old graphics card ( Radeon 9000 Pro for AmigaOS 4, Radeon 9800 Pro for MorphOS and linux ) on PCI 66 MHz bus. And yes, Pegasos has Altivec and ppc FPU, A1222 not.
A1222+ can use much more modern Polaris cards, has hw accelerated video and can use Warp3DNova and OGLES2. Pegasos not. All this new graphics stack made by Hans and others is big step forward. So if you need modern games ( kas1e made many nice ports ) and watch HD video, A1222 is far better.
And even Sam440ep-flex is much better computer with Radeon SI card + Warp3D Nova compares to his default configuration with PCI Radeon 9250. You can even play there Doom3 from HunoPPC

I'm curious if someone here knows if the A1222+ will arrive before Christmas? I have my doubts since the holidays are not far away, but still have hope.
I emailed Laurent this morning to ask if there was any news of the Early Adopter boards.
He replied very promptly to tell me that the boards are undergoing testing at the factory and he hoped that they wouldn't take too much longer.
I am sooooo much looking forward to having a (working) NG Amiga.
Thanks for sharing the update! If the boards are still being tested at the factory, I guess they'll come after the holidays. AAA told me they were finalizing the testing of the boards on December 5th, so looks like it will take more time.
It is now March. Anyone received anything? Or perhaps information on when it will arrive?
There is no date on amigakit.fr of when the boards will become available. On February 11th, AmigaKit estimated they would publish a date for non-early adopters on amigakit.fr in a week or so.
Hehe, you are probably right. I think it was Trixie who wrote something like "being an Amigan requires a black belt in waiting". Unfortunately, I seem to only have a blue belt.
If you don't want to go crazy, you can create a Pegasos' VM to try first tests with your future OS4. You can think the directories' organization, software, temes, icons, etc.
Hi Alan,  Sorry for later answer !  Yes, there have a been a delay (which was not expected at all) at end of january !!  We must receive our first batch this week and we’ll begin shippings after we tests the boards  We’re now close to deliver the products to every order !  Thanks for your patience  Laurent and Franck AAA Technology 76, Rue Émile Mark L-4620 Differdange Luxembourg Tel : (+352) 26 58 02 21 GSM : (+33) 771 107 222 Mail : laurent@aaa-technology.lu RCS : B247522 TVA : LU32547603
I'll stick to using my Amiga X5000 and Vampire V4SA. I will read with interest the reviews of the A1222 to see what others experiences are that purchased that machine.
