HELP problems booting OS 4.0 Final

Heloo to all Amigans!

My question is about how to boot succesfully OS 4.0 Final.
Now I have my copy since yesterday and after installing two times changing the boot priorities I cannot boot it.

I want to install with OS 4.0 update#4 on different partitions maybe or in teh same.

How can I mange to boot OS 4.0 Final together with the update.

Essentially I want to boot the Final version and make a backup of the update to later use it on the same HD.

Help is really appreciated.

exactly does not work? Can you boot without S-S?

skip commands when you know in advance they wont work.

That is really useful information. I think I will copy it for future reference. I have previously stated that many of us old time Amigans didn't even scratch the surface of what our little old classic machines could do and we didn't learn little work arounds such as this (even though this may be OS4 specific). Thanks.
