I updated as well today.
Despite the "fixed USB handling especially for keyboard support", I still can't use my Keyboard in Uboot, but that's ok. When I ever have to use Uboot again, I just use the Logitech K400.

By the way, any experience with the DDR2 Boost option?
Did anyone some Benchmarks? Experienced any instabilities?

Today I tried the update and both updaters (SST and Atmel) can't recognize the flash type. Anyone has the same issue?

I will answer myself, mostly for anyone who stumbles upon the same error. I contacted ACube and it seems the updater can't program my EEPROM so they will send me a physical chip.

Hi, updated my SAM460ex with lastest Uboot and went like a charm.
Used CD to update, seleced ATMEL chip (opt A) and no porblem.

Changed some uboot envvars and now it boots like "ol' times"

THX a LOT

Gfx card is RX550:
04 1002  699F  Advanced Micro DevicesInc. [AMD/ATILexa PRO [Radeon 540/540X/550/550X RX 540X/550/550X
05 1002  AAE0  Advanced Micro DevicesInc. [AMD/ATIBaffin HDMI/DP Audio [Radeon RX 550 640SP RX 560/560X]

BTW what envvar should I set, so when it shows my kickstart boot entries the default is the 2nd (or 3rd ro ...)? Can't remember ¿:-/

That was it!!! THX

I had such envar set with "old" uboot and stdout=serial and it booted automagically such option, then when updating to latest Uboot I removed such envar, 'cos didn't want to autoboot.

So it "works" differently on serial vs vga stdout.

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm trying to update my Uboot using the USB method. I have the image copied on my Ext2 formatted USB Drive, my serial cable connected to my WinBlows machine, PUTTY running and boot messages coming up, but my Uboot hangs at VESA: OK. It doesn't give the option to interrupt the boot process. It just continues to boot. I've tried disconnecting the drive from the SATA board, but Uboot continues to hang and VESA: OK. Am I missing something?

Thanks for any help I can get.

Kevin

try setting stdin and stdout to serial, you can do it from the AOS4.1 shell:

NVSetVar stdin serial
NVSetVar stdout serial

Remember to put them to the original values when done:

NVSetVar stdin usbkbd
NVSetVar stdout vga

Thank you.

After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I managed to muddle through it. I have the new Uboot. I'll write those commands down for future reference.

"stdout serial" seems to be wrong for the original value, should be something like "stdout vga" instead (alt least in the A1-XE and X5000 U-Boot versions that's the default).
