A (real) Sam460ex does support the shutdown choice. Sam440ep doesn't, only soft and hard reboot.

Best regards,

Thanks for the reply.

I give up on asking questions.
I got tired,
the .raw file is always the same one I use with qemu 9 for linux. (Pegasos)
there the reboot and shutdown works same file.
simply version 9 for Windows must have been compiled without including reboot etc.

I have emulated 4.1 for 10 years in the classic version and now also with qemu.

I don't feel like it anymore, I'm tired, I'll solve things on my own, I'll do it first.

I really don't want to participate in the Amiga forums anymore.

Which Windows build are you using? The support for shutdown is in QEMU since 6.2 or 8.0 (I can't remember exactly but there were no changes in it in 9.0) so I can't imagine how it could be left out from a build so it must be some other problem. Do you have an older backup of the AmigaOS image or a clean 4.2FE Update 2 install to test with in case it got broken in AmigaOS by some update or local change?

You can experiment and solve problems on your own but you're also welcome to ask questions if you're stuck.

I don't use Windows no so I can't help you or check anything.
There is one active user on the forum amiga-news.de/ "Falke_34" who creates a graphical QEMU installer for AOS4 a starter.

Screenshot: https://ibb.co/bgH3Jh9

He also compiles a version of QEMU under Window. Maybe you should check if this one works for you - here the page

http://falke34.bplaced.net/qemu.html

Last compilation date is QEmu v9.0 (07.06.2024) (Windows) so fairly new.

What discourages me from posting questions are the answers as if I don't know how to use qemu.

with version 9 for windows reboot etc is not included.

I also use the Windows version because sometimes I don't have to load Linux.

powershell 7.4.2 is the latest version

Windows LTSC 2021

For convenience the environment variable is set for qemu in Windows.
So you can work from the command line comfortably.

Unfortunately, no one will help you with this attitude.

If you want help, you were asked to specify which version of the Windows compilation you are using.

She gave you a link to a person who is apparently using QEMU on Windows and I think that if she had such a problem she would have written about it straight away.
You can always ask her. It is also active on amigaword.
As far as I remember, you can find qemu compilations for Windows at www.emaculation.com. They also have a forum.
You can also ask eventually on the QEMU users mailing list

the official version works
the link you gave me has no certificate and "BitDefender" identifies it as an untrustworthy site.

All things considered, Windows LTSC has different updates than normal builds.

I just updated Windows LTSC and now qemu 9 works from the official channel.

Thank you all the same.

And to answer your question of my attitude
I've always said AmiCygnix doesn't work.
Currently no one has yet proven the opposite to me.

Clearly the speech is not directed at you personally.
But it's just to understand each other better.

I would also like to use Amiga-ONE emulation with qemu with Windows 10.

Can anyone suggest me the command line ?

qemu-system-ppc -M amigaone -bios C:\Users\lowlevel\Desktop\Pegasos2-VM\u-boot-amigaone.bin -device VGA,romfile=C:\Users\lowlevel/Desktop\Pegasos2-VM\VGABIOS-lgpl-latest.bin -m 2048 -serial stdio -vga none -device sm501 -device rtl8139,netdev=mynet0 -netdev user,id=mynet0 -drive if=none,id=hd,file=C:\Users\lowlevel\Desktop\Pegasos2-VM\ONE-32gb.raw,format=raw -device ide-hd,drive=hd,bus=ide.1 -cdrom C:\Users\lowlevel\Desktop\Pegasos2-VM\AmigaOneInstallCD-53.54.iso

Thank you.

See here for using BBoot or here for using firmware ROM image. You'll also need AmigaOne version of AmigaOS, you cannot boot the pegasos2 version on amigaone as each AmigaOS version only contains drivers and kernel for the machine it is for. So the command you posted should work. Did you get a problem with that or what was the question?

Thanks for the reply, Yes I have the AmigaONE version and it works on Linux and it also works on Windows now.
But strangely once updates 1&2 were done
Emotion Player keeps telling me that I haven't installed update 1 and therefore video playback doesn't work.

But do we need to replace something again once updates 1&2 have been done, for example the kickstart folder in AmigaOS ?

for example quake 1 reaches 30fps in the test with AmigaONE.

while Pegasos reaches 22 fps with quake 1

Thank you.

If you're using BBoot you need to recreate Kickstart.zip after installing an update that updated files in SYS:Kickstart. When booting with firmware it should load kernel and modules from disk so in that case I don't know what could be the problem.

And only with "qemu 9" for Windows 10 when the emulation is closed it returns this "error" (ONLY AmigaONE)

(qemu:12540): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:47:06.867: Could not load a pixbuf from /org/gtk/libgtk/theme/Adwaita/assets/bullet-symbolic.svg.
This may indicate that pixbuf loaders or the mime database could not be found.

I tried installing this and it doesn't solve the problem.

https://github.com/tschoonj/GTK-for-Wi ... ime-Environment-Installer

https://github.com/tschoonj/GTK-for-Wi ... r/releases/tag/2022-01-04

I imagine this is a problem for those who compile versions 9 for the public and they should fix it.

9.01 is not yet available for Windows 10 so I don't know if this has been resolved with 9.0.1

This is Windows 10 not Linux

You can disregard the gtk warning. It's just because it was built with gtk but does not come with some theme files it looks for. This is a problem in packaging the QEMU build so ask where you got this build from. But this does not affect functionality, maybe only some image is different in the QEMU menu or similar but it would run the same. You can try to add -display sdl in case that's compiled in, that would get rid of this warning (but also the QEMU menu and may display a bit differently).

Also 9.0.1 probably does not have anything that would help PPC or AmigaNG emulation so using 9.0 should be fine.

I tried, just to pass the time,
I did the update both online and offline update1&2
but from what I noticed is that after the update I have to reset the emulated machine manually.

Therefore the reset does not normally occur at the end of the update.
Now I'm no expert but in this case the kickstart update is activated ?
Because it doesn't reset the machine normally
Or can I manually replace files ?

This also happens on Linux as well as on Windows 10

Thank you.

You have to use a newer kernel from AmigaOs4.1 Update 1 or 2 then the SM502 from Os4Depot will work.

Here I also only installed update1 and Enhancer Software 2.2
Also in this case Emotion does not seem to recognize update1
I tried MPlayer-MUI very old version and it works perfectly including audio. "AC97"

Now I'm trying to update manually via shell for Emotion. I still have one of the first updates that was released which only worked from the shell and updated Emotion to version 1.9.

One thing I have to complain about
Given the money spent.
Update1 appears in the task bar only in "English".

If I choose Italian as the system language, update1 does not appear in the task bar.

Hey, Italian money sucks, ?

Since you can't see the update 1&2 update in Italian in the task bar

Even if it is activated anyway.

Clearly I can modify the Task-Bar but it is not automatic like in English.

I might even put "update 1300"
Now I don't know other languages, I haven't tried them,
if the same happens
