Every Tuesday evening, I am running my AmigaOS 4 Gaming Nights streams on Twitch. I have done that for a few weeks now, and I managed to complete Heretic 2 and DOOM 3, with the latter yesterday. That was challenging.

I am doing it as a way to promote the AmigaOS 4 and the games people are making or porting for this platform. And at the end, have some fun.

Next week, I plan to start a new game or investigate a specific genre. Any ideas are welcome.

I am looking forward to seeing you in the chat and having some laughs about the tragic deaths I get.

When I watch offline I use aiostream[web] and emotion on my sam460ex

That's great....I definitely need to try this solution via AioStreams and Emotion. I was also not aware that it was possible with iBrowse.

AioStreams is a bit complicated to set up as I personally find, so I will discuss it here again so that other Amiga users can also set it up.

I have in Odyssey as context menus:

Link | aiostream_youtube | C:Python KDH1:Comm/aiostreams/youtube.py -u %l -shh
Link | aiostream_twitch | C:Python KDH1:Comm/aiostreams/twitch.py -u %l -shh

In IB3 is:
name: aiostream_twitch
action: [@ | command ] C:Python
and as arguments: KDH1:Comm/aiostreams/twitch.py -u %l -shh

then in aiostream drawer:

and in vqw.pyc just reordered the resolution stream preferences to suit my needs, example:

Thanks buddy, that really works perfectly, I'll make a video about it later

Configured with Odyssey. I will also do it with iBrowse for next time.

I have adopted your settings for "vqw.pyc" and with Twitch it works really well and the streaming resolution is ok. However with YT the streaming resolution is a bit too low and in full screen it's a bit blurry.

Is it possible to increase the streaming resolution here too?

As a streaming player I use Emotion it works really well and I have the possibility to watch Twitch and YouTube on my real hardware again.

about the YT low res videos I too have it here, maybe youtube chnaged/updated something that with aiostream_yt (or/nad YT.rexx) it only gets those low res video to watch/play.

A couple of weeks ago I did that and ran the first hour for the stream talking about the competition and playing the game. Unfortunately, I had it crashing on my system after the first stage, so I couldn't upload a hiscore. But I will have a look on that again, as soon as possible.

Could you perhaps explain it in more detail for iBrowse?

It would be very nice of you, at the moment I am only able to use AioStreams with Odyssey.

Last Tuesday I did the second part on my Twitch channel (https://twitch.tv/walkerogr) which will be on YouTube next week.

Next Tuesday, I plan to start playing Tower57 until I manage to complete it. See you then.
