I would like to introduce a blog about using my AmigaOne as my daily driver.

Edit: Duplicate post.
I used AmigaCygnix X Server also a lot in the past for software that was non existant or not yet ported to AmigaOS 4. For example with he Pidgin client I was able to use ICQ for chat. ICQ never got client for any version of AmigaOS.

Yeah, also there was Jabberwocky and Wookiechat, in time you could use ICQ protocol with them.

As a daily driver (but not as a developper) :

Odyssey Web Browser with its limitations (I can still fire up my PowerMac G5 with morphOS in order to use Wayfarer if I really need it)

Sylpheed / AmiCignyx on my WB to check my Google Mails

WookieChat for daily IRC with my mates

YT.rexx with Mozzerfan's scripts to watch 1080p YT videos.

Emotion to watch videos.

DvPlayer if I want to watch DVDs

Since I'm using both an AmigaOne X1000 and a Sam460 (sometimes I fire up my Replay 060 instead of the Sam460) and also a PowerMac G5, I'm using Andy Broads' MKShare instead of Synergy, developped specifically for AmigaOS 4.1 (with an OS3 version usable with MorphOS).

AmigaAMP 3.2 to listen every kind of formats (thanks to TuneNet's plugins) and listen to webradios.

Multiviewer to see all kind of documents

RNO-PDF to check PDF documents (way faster than AmiPDF)

DirMeUp 4 as file utility

AdRipper to rip my CDs (yeah, I'm still buying some and ply them with PlayCD since it supports direct audio on my X1000)

NoWinEd as simple editor

AmiPhoto to handle my photos library

pFTP in order to access my FTP servers

SMBFSv2 to access my Samba shares

VNC to acces my Mac Pro 2008 server

Some games (FBA, OpenBOR, M.A.C.E, M.A.C.E Defense, Voxelnoid, ZAZ, Widelands, ...)
